Well, I stumbled across this apartment on Ulica Augusta Cesarca and honestly – it’s one of those finds that makes you want to keep it secret from other travelers.
The thing is, most people get obsessed with staying right inside the Old Town walls, but this spot is maybe a 12-minute walk to Pile Gate, and you’re actually better off for it. You get that partial sea view (and I mean, any sea view in Dubrovnik is pretty magical), but you’re not paying those insane Old Town prices or dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at 6 AM. The apartment itself is pretty spacious – those two bathrooms are actually a godsend when you’re traveling with friends or family, because let’s be real, sharing one bathroom on vacation can get weird fast. The parking spot is what really sold me though, because if you’ve ever tried to park anywhere near Dubrovnik’s center, you know it’s basically a nightmare wrapped in expensive parking fees.
What I really appreciated was how the owner clearly gets what travelers actually need. There’s proper AC (crucial in summer), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the kitchen has real cooking equipment, not just a sad little hot plate. The sea view isn’t one of those “if you crane your neck and squint” situations either – you can actually see the water from the living room, which is pretty nice with your morning coffee. The building itself is on a quiet residential street, so you’re not dealing with restaurant noise or drunk tourists, but you’re close enough to walk to Banje Beach in about 15 minutes if you take the path down through the residential area. I actually preferred this to staying right in Lapad or Babin Kuk because you feel more connected to how locals actually live, you know?
The 9.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and honestly, the value for what you get is pretty incredible for Dubrovnik standards. I mean, you’re getting legitimate comfort and space without the tourist markup, plus you can actually explore the neighborhoods where people live and work. There’s a little bakery about three blocks away that does amazing burek, and a small market where you can grab groceries without paying resort prices. If you’re the kind of traveler who wants to experience Dubrovnik without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble, this is exactly the kind of place you want to book.

Exceptional Excellent apartment. Lots of lovely extras like wine/beer on arrival. Very well equipped apartment. Would definitely recommend. Host was lovely. Nothing about the apartment was bad. Balcony spacious and quiet.

Pobyt w tym apartamencie był absolutnie fantastyczny! Wszystko było dopracowane w najdrobniejszych szczegółach – od czystości, przez wygodne łóżka, po dobrze wyposażoną kuchnię. Wino, piwko, przyprawy. Ogromnym atutem są dwie łazienki. W jednej z nich pralka i suszarka, oraz proszek do prania. Apartament jest przestronny, bardzo zadbany i nowocześnie urządzony.
Lokalizacja idealna – blisko do Starego Miasta, a jednocześnie w spokojnej okolicy, gdzie można naprawdę odpocząć. Widok z balkonu zapiera dech w piersiach – idealny na poranną kawę czy wieczorne wino. Minusem jak w całym Dubrowniku są schody, ale do Starego Miasta byliśmy w stanie dojść chodnikiem.
Właściciel Maro niezwykle miły i pomocny, od samego początku kontakt był szybki i bezproblemowy. Czuliśmy się zaopiekowani i bardzo mile widziani.
Zdecydowanie polecam ten apartament każdemu, kto planuje wizytę w Dubrowniku.

A perfect base! The service and hospitality from Ivana was above and beyond. The accomodation was close enough to all the attractions and has literally everything for a comfortable stay- would absolutely recommend.
What could be improved: Just a very minor note- a reminder text to check out the night before could have been worded better to avoid dampening the great experience that we had.
Exceptional We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. We had 4 adults and were happy to have the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The host's son met us and gave us a quick overview of the property and gave some suggestions for attractions and getting around the area. The apartment was well stocked and they even provided us with water, beer, and a bottle of wine! There is a lovely view that can be enjoyed from the patio. We appreciated the washing machine and free parking. Would stay here again.
Supernice stay The apartment was super nice, very clean an modern. Hosts where super helpful. Balcony was perfect. Felt like home. Beds where comfortable, With two bathrooms it was perfect stay for two couples. Kitchen had everything you could ask for. I would recommend this apartment to all of my friends, extra thanks to Maro ho did our stay extra nice, met us even when we arrived late in the evening, made sure that we felt welcome. He made sure that our stay would be nice. Beer in the fridge and vine bottles where nothing we expected, that was something extra for sure. And on top of that he gave us a lift to the supermarket....what a guy...SUPERTHANKS Maro :)
What could be improved: Many stairs to the apartment. That we did know so for us is whas not a problem. 373 stars to the harbour :)
