You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from the city walls (the buses run pretty regularly, though they can get packed during summer afternoons), but you’re also walking distance from Lapad Bay where locals actually swim and hang out. There’s this little bakery about two blocks away where you can grab proper Croatian pastries in the morning – not the tourist-trap stuff, but the real deal that costs like two euros. The neighborhood gets quiet at night, which is perfect if you’ve spent your day navigating crowds in Stradun and just want to decompress. Parking can be tricky in this area (it’s mostly street parking and residents know all the good spots), but the hosts seem to have that figured out with specific instructions that actually work.

What really sealed it for me was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchen setup is functional – not just pretty – with proper knives and enough counter space to make breakfast without feeling cramped. The Wi-Fi works consistently, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places in old Croatian buildings struggle with that. Air conditioning runs quietly, which is crucial during those humid July nights when even the sea breeze isn’t enough. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward waiting around or unclear instructions you sometimes get with vacation rentals. They clearly know what questions people have because they answered most of them before I even asked.

  The house is fully equipped with everything that travellers need. Especially the kitchenette. We loved spending our time in the balcony at night. There is a bus stop to the old town near the apartment so it was convenient for us to get to the center as well. 🙂

  Apartament bardzo wygodny i czysty, wyposażony we wszystko co potrzebne podczas krótszego czy dłuższego pobytu, z relaksującym widokiem na morze, zlokalizowany w spokojnej okolicy na wzgórzu po środku Dubrownika – 20-25 min spacerem na Stare Miasto, 10-15 min spacerem do nowego portu, w zasięgu podobnego spaceru plaża Lapad. Nieco dłuższe spacery powrotne z uwagi na podejście pod górkę (z jednej strony schodami lub z drugiej uliczką) Najbliższy sklepik w zasięgu 2 min spaceru, przystanek autobusowy przy ulicy poniżej budynku – spacerem ok 5-10 min. Tam też można znaleźć piekarnię i kilka knajpek, głównie typu street food. Gospodarz kontaktowy, pomógł nam z organizacją dojazdu z lotniska.
