Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Adria Apartments and Rooms? It’s tucked away on Dalmatinska Street in Lapad, which honestly feels like you’ve discovered this little residential pocket that most tourists completely miss. I mean, everyone’s fighting for spots in the Old Town, but here you are – maybe a 15-minute walk from all that madness – staying somewhere that actually feels like Croatia instead of a theme park.
The building itself has that solid, unassuming look that screams “locals live here,” and that’s exactly what you want. The owner clearly knows what they’re doing because everything just… works. The apartments are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into your travel companion every five minutes, and honestly, after spending days wandering Dubrovnik’s narrow streets, having room to spread out feels like such a luxury. The kitchenettes are actually functional too – not those sad hotel attempts with a mini-fridge and a prayer. I actually cooked a few meals using stuff from the local market, which saved me from eating overpriced tourist food every single night.
What really sold me on this place was the neighborhood vibe. Lapad has this residential energy where you’ll see Croatian families heading to work in the morning, kids playing in the small parks, and – here’s the thing nobody tells you – the local bus connections are fantastic. You can hop on the 6 bus right nearby and be at Pile Gate in no time, or take it the other direction toward the Lapad Peninsula beaches. Speaking of which, the pebble beaches over there are way less crowded than Banje Beach, and the water’s just as impossibly blue. The walk back from dinner in the Old Town is actually pleasant too, especially once you figure out the little shortcuts through the residential streets – it’s quiet, well-lit, and you get these glimpses into how people actually live here. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs to stumble directly from bars to bed, this might not be your spot. But honestly? The slight distance from the tourist chaos made my whole Dubrovnik experience feel more authentic. Plus, that 9-star rating isn’t just inflated reviews – the attention to detail here is real.

Spacious accommodation and very well stocked with everything you need for a short stay. Apartment was clean and host was welcoming and helpful. Lots of wardrobe space. Good location, close to promenade, bars, restaurants and beach.
What could be improved: Private balcony was too small to use, however larger communal balcony available which we made use of.Carola from United States – 11 May 2025 (9/10)
The location was great, quick access to bus lines, supermarkets and tourist destinations.

Great value for money! It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed, including plates and glasses (the room doesn't have a sink to wash them, but there was dish soap and a sponge under the bathroom sink). There was always a parking spot available, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The location is great, close to restaurants and a short walk from the bus stop where you can take n° 6 to reach the Old Town or other buses to get pretty much anywhere in the city. The host was also very kind and took the time to explain how everything works!

Even though a bit "far" from the main attractions, there is a really good bus connection within a few hundred meters that goes to everywhere you want to go. We were with strollers and managed really good. Service was superb and house was clean and of local design.
What could be improved: Mood lightning was missing, some dim lamps would be nice. Also a coat hanger in a wall near the door would do the trick 🙂Hannah from New Zealand – 12 October 2024 (9/10)
Lovely apartment with everything you need. It’s comfortable and spacious. Although the host didn’t speak English, he was very welcoming and demonstrated how everything worked. Less than a 10 minute walk to restaurants, bars and the beach. Less than a ten minute drive to the bus station and 10 minutes from the old town. Prime location.

Kristina was on site and very kind and informative. The location is good, very quiet, but it takes a bit of time with buses and all the tourists who want to go into the old city. The Dubrovnik pass makes it very easy to do so. The location is great as there’s a lovely promenade in Lapad which feels quite gorgeous and intimate.
What could be improved: I would’ve loved a sink, but I’m able to adjust. The Wi-Fi was terrific. And my host was exceptional.Veronika from Australia – 18 September 2024 (9/10)
Everything! Its sizable did not feel like just a room, felt like a home which was lovely, shower pressure was fantastic. Washing Machine with outside hanging line which was convenient and appreciated. Bed was comfortable beautiful view out of a little private balcony off the living room and then another little patio at the front of the building that was communal Kristina & her family were lovely too.
What could be improved: Nothing at all – near perfect! 😀Lee from United Kingdom – 23 July 2024 (9/10)
Lovely, clean, spacious and airy apartment. Had everything we needed for 2 of us staying a week. Host was very helpful and friendly, living downstairs. On hand if we needed anything and contactable by WhatsApp. High ceilings with Velux windows in the bedroom. Bedroom air conditioned which was lovely and cool to sleep in. Great location, short walk to various beaches, shops and restaurants. 2 miles by Uber to the Old Town at a reasonable price. Bus stops close by as well. Washing machine and drying rail on the balcony. Use of seats and table on front terrace which was nice at night to sit with a drink. Close to Tommy’s supermarket which was well stocked with a lovely bakery for fresh pastries at breakfast.
What could be improved: Would have liked a larger balcony to eat on but the small one we had still had a great view and could fit 2 stools to sit on.Robert from United Kingdom – 17 July 2024 (9/10)
Excellent location & views from the balcony, very well equipped, very comfy & spacious apartment, helpful & informative host.
What could be improved: Property was excellent but could do with a small table on the balcony.Kerstin from Estonia – 6 July 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful views from the balconies.
