The building itself sits on Palmotićeva ulica, which honestly feels like stepping into a postcard. You know that feeling when you arrive somewhere and think “okay, this is exactly what I hoped for”? That’s what happened here.
What strikes me most about staying at Anima Mea Old Town Apartments is how you’re genuinely living like a local within these ancient stone streets. You can walk to Stradun (the main pedestrian street) in about two minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant tourist crowds right outside your door. The Rector’s Palace is practically around the corner, and I found myself wandering to the city walls for sunrise photos without even planning it — they’re just that close. Couples absolutely love this spot, and I get why they rate it a perfect 10 for romantic getaways.

A lovely, well renovated, and comfortable apartment in the old town, very central and convenient for exploring the old city!! There are many bars and restaurants in the area to enjoy!! However, with the windows closed there is no noise at all.
The host, Slavica, is fantastic, so friendly and super kind. She is very helpful with her suggestions and quick answers!!! We loved our stay!!!
Perfect spot to stay in old town. We booked last minute and were thankful an amazing place like this was available to us. Comfortable & clean (brand new!) with everything we need and more. Highly Recommend! My host, Slavica, was amazing. She met me at the apt, showed me around, gave information about restaurant recommendations, arranged my airport transfer and helped me with my luggage at check out. Even though the apt was in the heart of the old town it was quiet at night and great for sleeping. The beds were super comfortable!! It was very clean and had everything I needed.
A lovely space to stay in, which is nice and airy and bright when the shutters are opened. Perfect for two. A super friendly host who was helpful. Fabulous location in Old Town near Pile Gate.
What could be improved: Some tiny beetles in the bathroom, but with any home, you can't stop bugs wanting to come in. They weren't a problem to us, but others may not like.
Loved the location so close to many main sights in Dubrovnik. It’s next to Pile Gate where all the buses and taxis pick up — so convenient! Also nice and air conditioned in both the bedroom and shared area which is important if traveling to Dubrovnik during peak summer months. Also has a kitchen with a stove top, small refrigerator, microwave, and some cookware which is nice for dining in. Clean towels and extra amenities were kindly provided for when we asked.
What could be improved: Not much! Wish the TV’s had more selection other than YouTube but that was just a preference and not a necessity. The building also doesn’t have an elevator (a lot of places in Dubrovnik don’t) and the apartment is up a few flights of stairs, so don’t bring a lot of heavy luggage. I learned the hard way 😆

Brilliant location
The host, Slavica, went above and beyond to make sure my stay was exceptional. The residence is in the heart of old town, Dubrovnik and right off the main street, just a minute walk from the pile gate. Fortunately, you don’t have to climb steps up the hill to get to the residence like most units In Dubrovnik. Exceptional value great place outstanding host.
What could be improved: My only regret is not staying longer.
The location was inside the city walls and cannot be beat! All amenities were there. Kitchen supplies and hair dryer. All necessary items
