You know what struck me first about Antunini Studio Apartment? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street called Ulica od Sigurate – and I mean actually quiet, which is pretty rare when you’re staying right in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Most places inside the city walls have you dealing with tour groups tramping past your window at 7 AM, but this spot feels like a secret. The building itself has that weathered stone look that screams “I’ve been here since before your great-grandmother was born,” but inside it’s been done up really thoughtfully. The studio layout works better than you’d expect – there’s this clever use of space that doesn’t feel cramped, and honestly, the bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept past sunrise (which never happens when I travel).

What I really appreciated was how the owner seemed to get what travelers actually need. The kitchen setup is small but functional – I mean, you’re not going to host a dinner party, but you can definitely make coffee and store some groceries from the market near Pile Gate. Speaking of which, you’re literally a three-minute walk from all the main sights, but here’s the thing locals know: you can slip out the back streets and avoid the cruise ship crowds completely. I’d duck out early morning or late afternoon and have places like the city walls practically to myself. The Wi-Fi actually works well (tested it on several video calls), and there’s decent water pressure in the shower, which – trust me – isn’t a given in these old buildings. I did notice some street noise in the evenings, but it’s more the pleasant hum of people enjoying themselves than anything disruptive.

The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just… works. The check-in was smooth, the space was clean, and you get that authentic feel of living in the Old Town without sacrificing modern comforts. I’d definitely book it again – especially if you’re the type who wants to explore early and late when Dubrovnik shows its real personality, not just its tourist face. Fair warning though: book early if you’re coming in summer, because spots like this that hit the sweet spot between location and value don’t stay available long.

  Lovely spacious studio apartment in a good location. Comfortable bed. A taxi was arranged for us to the airport which made the experience of getting there less stressful.

  It was very roomy with high ceilings. The chatter from people below in the restaurants sounded great. I had breakfast on the balcony. The little shower tucked away in a short hallway was really lovely. Obviously within the walls there are steps 41

  The location is ideal and in the heart of old town. The room was big and comfortable. It has everything for a good stay. Host offered us an airport drop (against charges), which I definitely recommend. Overall good stay and nice property.
  
  What could be improved: There are steep stairs at almost every property in the old town, so be careful with luggage. The stairs here were less but then the apartment in itself has its own stairs.

  Perfect location. Right above the busy evening restaurants and bars gave it a great atmosphere.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. Just be aware if you aren’t good on your feet Dubrovnik isn’t flat. There are a lot of steps.

  The apartment is so beautiful, and perfectly located. My husband was obsessed with the huge bed, as a 6 foot 5 man it was one of the first beds in his life he’s been able to feel fitted him perfectly!!! Huge and just so comfortable!! The balcony was a lovely extra, to be able to sit out with a coffee or a wine in the evening was such a treat. The location is amazing. You’re never too far from home if you need to drop something off or pop in for a snooze. A really great apartment, thank you so much for having us.
  
  What could be improved: Others have mentioned that it’s a bit noisy. It isn’t silent but we found the buzzy street noise enjoyable. Just something to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise. Deliveries in the early morning were also quite noisy but we were so comfortable in a dark, cool room that we were well rested. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and the shower works well, the only thing I might suggest would be to add a towel/cloth to use to dry hands/crockery etc in the kitchen, and also a bath mat as stepping out of the shower onto bare tiles feels treacherous to us Brits!!
