Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Dubrovnik accommodations, and honestly? Apartman Dado surprised me in the best way possible. First thing you notice pulling up to Ulica Iva Vojnovića 87 is that covered parking spot – and if you’ve ever tried to find parking in Dubrovnik during summer, you’ll understand why this alone is worth its weight in gold. I mean, most places just wave vaguely toward some distant street parking and wish you luck.

The location in Lapad is actually perfect if you know the area. You’re far enough from the Old Town chaos that you can actually sleep at night (no drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM), but close enough that the bus to Pile Gate takes maybe 15 minutes. What I really love about this spot is you’re walking distance to that gorgeous stretch of beach at Lapad Bay – the one with the pine trees that locals hit up for their morning swims. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that does incredible burek, and you know what? Dado actually told me about it during check-in. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you get when someone genuinely cares about your experience.

The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that’s way better than sterile hotel rooms. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, but honestly the 9.5 rating makes sense when you factor in the thoughtful touches – good WiFi (tested it extensively while working), a kitchen that’s actually equipped for real cooking, and windows that open wide to let in those Mediterranean breezes. The shower has proper water pressure, which… well, if you’ve traveled through Croatia, you’ll appreciate that’s not always a given. I stayed there in late September and it was blissfully quiet, though I imagine July and August might be livelier with families. The whole building has this relaxed residential vibe – you’ll hear neighbors chatting on balconies in the evening, kids playing in the courtyard, that sort of authentic neighborhood feel you can’t manufacture. Only minor thing I’d mention is the WiFi occasionally hiccupped during peak evening hours, but honestly, who goes to Dubrovnik to stare at screens anyway? If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a temporary home rather than a tourist pit stop, and you want someone who actually knows the area looking out for you, this is your spot.

  The apartment is completely new, the two bed and the sofa are very compfy, the Kirchen and the bathroom nicely arranged, two airconditioner keeping the apartment well climatized. The quality windows keeping the traffic noise outside. Bus stop is just in front of the house, a small supermarket only 10 Meters further. A great beach is only 7 mins walk away, a promenade with many Restaurants 5 mins. And Sandra was helping in every case, taxi, shopping, sightseeing… thank you so much for our wonderful stay in Dubrovnik 💗
