Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Kliševska ulica, I had to double-check my booking because it felt almost too good to be true. You’re literally tucked into this quiet residential street that most tourists never discover, but here’s the thing: you’re still only about a 10-minute walk from Pile Gate. I mean, you get that authentic Croatian neighborhood vibe without sacrificing convenience, which is pretty rare in Dubrovnik these days.

The apartment itself has this lived-in charm that actually works in its favor. TIANNI clearly knows what travelers need – the kitchen is properly stocked (not just some sad mini-fridge situation), and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in older Croatian buildings. What really got me was the attention to little details… there were proper hangers in the closet, good lighting for reading, and the Wi-Fi actually worked consistently. You know what I loved most though? The windows. They’re positioned perfectly so you get this lovely cross-breeze in the evenings, and since you’re away from the main tourist corridors, it’s genuinely quiet at night. No drunk cruise ship passengers stumbling around at 2 AM.

The hosts – and this is where that 9.3 rating makes total sense – they’re the kind of people who actually care about your experience. They’ll tell you which konoba serves the best peka (and it’s not the one in all the guidebooks), or mention that the small grocery store around the corner stays open later than the posted hours. Small stuff, but it matters when you’re trying to feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local. The check-in was smooth, parking… well, let’s just say follow their instructions exactly because Dubrovnik parking is its own special kind of challenge. During shoulder season it’s manageable, but July and August? Good luck. The location though – you’re close enough to walk everywhere but far enough from Stradun that you can actually breathe and think clearly. Plus, there’s this little café about three doors down that does incredible morning coffee, and the locals who hang out there are genuinely friendly once you become a regular face.
