Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Dubrovnik accommodations, and Apartment Antomia on Petra Svacica really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. When I first pulled up to 41D, I’ll be honest, the street didn’t scream “luxury” or anything, but that’s actually what I loved about it. You’re tucked away in this quiet residential area that feels authentically Croatian, not like some tourist bubble. The building itself is pretty typical for the neighborhood – solid, unpretentious, with that slightly weathered Mediterranean look that somehow makes everything feel more genuine.

What really got me was how thoughtfully put together the apartment is. I mean, someone clearly spent time thinking about what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos. The kitchen – and I’m someone who always checks the kitchen first – actually has proper cookware and decent counter space. You know what’s rare? Finding an apartment where the shower has good water pressure and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes. Antomia nails both. The whole space feels lived-in but well-maintained, if that makes sense. There’s this attention to detail that you don’t always get with vacation rentals – like, the curtains actually block out light when you want to sleep in, and there are enough outlets near the bed for your phone charger.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Dubrovnik without the constant tourist chaos. Petra Svacica puts you close enough to walk into the Old Town when you want that postcard experience, but far enough that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds outside your window at 7 AM. I found this little bakery just two streets over that locals actually go to – way better than the overpriced stuff near the city walls. Plus, parking in this area is… well, it’s still Dubrovnik so it’s not exactly easy, but it’s manageable compared to trying to find a spot closer to the main attractions. The bus connections are solid too, which saved me a fortune on taxis. After a few days, I started recognizing the neighbors, and there’s something really nice about that temporary sense of belonging somewhere. That 9.3 rating makes complete sense to me – it’s the kind of place where everything just works without any drama, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need on vacation.

  Nice terrace with view to the city and park. Big, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of room in the living room. Washing machine including the detergent.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing major, just small remarks, which we easily put up with. At least one window could have a netting against mosquitos, so it can be open during night. Terrace could have a sort of screen to neighbor flat to increase privacy.

  Everything was perfect, great location-near to main promenade and beach. The nearest big food suppermarket is about 7 min to foot. The property has its own garage. You have everything you need for comfort stay-enough towels, iron, kitchen appliances, salt, pepper, spices even the necessary maps of location. The appartment is really great, clean and big. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend it.

  The property is in great condition, very clean and everything was thought of from dishwasher tablets to beach towels. Lots of spare towels also which is great when you have a family. Ramona was a brilliant host, very helpful and answered messages very quickly. Would highly recommend.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing about the property itself. Quite a lot of steps to town but a great way to improve fitness on holiday!

  Really friendly host who were able to check us in earlier. Handy underground parking, plus all facilities you might need for a stay: cutlery, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. We were also really touched by the "welcome" bottle of liqueur 😉 Lapad beach is really nearby, Copacabana and Madrak beaches are still in a walking distance.
  
  What could be improved: Lapad Beach is nearby, but basically the whole road to it (at least the shortest one) is a single long staircase, with a staircase to the apartment as a cherry on top. We were traveling with the stroller and it wasn't the best fit. Walking on foot would be fine.

  Great main, central room with a spacious kitchen, dining table and area, couch and smart TV where we spent most of our time. Nice porch too with a table and chairs. Just a few minutes from Lapad Beach, restaurants and markets for groceries. Communicative and helpful host. It was nice to be a quick 5-10 minute Uber ride from Old Town while also being away from the tourist area. Ubers were quick and inexpensive so we took them often.
  
  What could be improved: You can’t really see the water form the porch, there’s a house in front on the street that blocks the view but you can still see throughout the whole valley so we enjoyed it! Also, it’s up a steep hill above Lapad so if you’re walking to get groceries be ready to climb up the stairs. We were expecting this so didn’t mind but wanted to highlight it. Great AC and strong wifi. We had a cancellation of another booking and got this place last minute and were very happy overall!

  The kitchen is fully equipped, a lot of space, big living room. There are dishwasher and washing machine.
  
  What could be improved: We weren’t ready to climb the stairs every time we went to the beach (the apartment is on the hill), but in general it’s fine.

  Very nice spacious apartment with ceiling fans in the bedrooms, which I loved (also has a/c).
  
  What could be improved: I don't like to complain but if you advertise satellite TV then provide it! I was told that it would be addressed when I mentioned it but nothing was done. Note the TV is a smart TV.
