I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Apartment Colette” on Splitski put, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The address made it sound like it might be stuck on some busy thoroughfare, but you know what? That street actually works in your favor. You’re close enough to everything that matters in Dubrovnik without being right in the thick of the Old Town chaos, which – trust me – gets pretty intense during peak season.
The place itself has this comfortable, lived-in feel that I really appreciated. It’s not trying to be some fancy boutique hotel with marble everything, but rather feels like staying in a well-appointed local’s apartment (which, I mean, it sort of is). The 4-star rating feels about right – everything works the way it should, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and there’s actually decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of Croatia. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night. You’d think being on Splitski put would mean traffic noise, but the windows are solid and the street settles down pretty nicely after the dinner rush.
The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it. You’re about a 15-minute walk to Pile Gate – the main entrance to the Old Town – which means you can easily pop back for a midday break when the summer heat gets brutal. And here’s something most people don’t realize: there are some excellent local spots right in this neighborhood. There’s this little konoba about three blocks away that serves the best black risotto I’ve had outside of Split, and the locals actually eat there, which tells you everything you need to know. The apartment’s setup works well for longer stays too – I stayed four nights and never felt cramped. Storage space is adequate (not huge, but who overpacks for Croatia anyway?), and the kitchen setup means you can grab fresh stuff from the morning market near the harbor and actually cook it properly. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting solid comfort, a genuinely useful location, and none of the tourist-trap nonsense that comes with staying right inside the city walls. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in, figure out the neighborhood rhythm, and actually feel like you’re experiencing Dubrovnik rather than just checking it off a list.

Great location to beach and old town and market. Can walk everywhere. Great location, great AC and had everything we needed. Walked to Old Town and the beach.

Udoban i čist, blizu grada Apartman je 20-ak minuta od starog grada pješke, čist je i udoban. S domaćinima se bilo lako dogovoriti, bili su jako brzi u odgovorima i odgovorili na sva pitanja. Sve je online, od prijave do odjave. Blizu je nekoliko supermarketa.
Convenient, clean Very quiet, easy 15 min walk to old town, clean, as described. Check-in was easy, but must be done online. Convenient key box entry, clear instructions.
What could be improved: Pet fee is very high (10€ per dog per night) and must be paid separately via a different app. Security deposit must be paid separately via App.

What could be improved: The area outside of the apartment is not well lit and you need to go down some stairs to arrive.
Nice apartment for a few days in Dubrovnik but we were disturbed by the ants A nice apartment, you have all the basic equipment - all you need. The bedrooms are nice and spacious. The included private parking place is a big plus (parking in Dubrovnik is difficult and quite expensive). The location is ok, not very close to the Old Town (about 20 min) but there is also a bus nereby.
What could be improved: There were ants in the apartment. This was quite disturbing for me and my family.
Nice appartment, the living room was quite small and the kitchen is small. The refrigerator is very small too. But finally for a few days vacantion it was fine for us.
