good location and clean
What could be improved: The neighbour down stairs having random banging outbursts. We would be woken up at 7am and experience constant loud banging noise and then randomly after 10pm. The police are well aware of the issue and so is the owner but they didn’t disclose this. This apartment should NOT be listed this until the issue is resolved. The noise is quite frightening, let alone for kids. There is no information in the apartment about how to use the washing machine, no internet password (have to message the cleaner/receptionist through WhatsApp and ask), no information on where to dispose of bin bags and no milk. We had a 5 night stay and no one came to clean our apartment or provide new towels. There is no shampoo, conditioner, body wash and laundry powder. Additionally, no notes on important switches; the alarm would beep constantly, had to message the host on how to turn off. The hot water service is a switch next to a light switch (but not marked?) Accidentally turned off hot water and didn’t know how to turn on, appreciate host company responded to WhatsApp message at 10:40pm.
No blinds in 2nd bedroom, there are blinds but both snapped off wall so cannot darken room (doesn’t make a difference with the bloke banging downstairs.) bring eye mask and ear plugs for this stay you will need it.
If you have mobility issues do not book this place as there are so many stairs and the host doesn’t tell you this.
We would rate this apartment 1 star but the location saved it.

Apartment Domino 18
First Impressions When I first walked up to Apartment Domino 18, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from an apartment rental in Dubrovnik's Old Town.
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Apartment Domino 18, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment rental in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you. This four-star property sits right on Domino street — and I mean right in the heart of everything that makes this ancient city magical. The building itself has that weathered stone look that tells you it’s been here for centuries, but step inside and you’ll find everything’s been thoughtfully updated.
Location Magic
I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Dubrovnik, and honestly, the location here is pretty special. You’re literally steps from Stradun — that’s the main pedestrian street where everyone ends up wandering — but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant crowds outside your door. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to the city walls in about three minutes, grab coffee at one of the local spots without fighting tourist hordes, and actually feel like I was living in the Old Town rather than just visiting it. The couples who stay here seem to get it — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Space Itself
The room setup works really well for what it is. I mean, it’s not huge — you’re in a medieval city center, so space comes at a premium — but everything feels well-planned. The kitchen area has what you actually need if you want to grab groceries from the morning market and make breakfast, though honestly, with all the great spots nearby, I didn’t cook much. The bed was comfortable, and I loved that the windows opened up to let in that Mediterranean breeze. Air conditioning works well too, which you’ll definitely want during summer months.
Daily Life Here
What struck me most was how easy it became to settle into a routine. There’s a little bakery around the corner where locals actually go — not just tourists — and the woman there started recognizing me after day two. The nearest restaurant recommendations from the host were spot-on, especially this tiny place that serves the best black risotto I’ve had in Croatia. Parking can be tricky in the Old Town (actually, cars aren’t really allowed), but there are options just outside the walls, and the host gives you clear directions on where to leave your car if you’re driving.
Why Guests Love It
After spending several days here, I get why this place scores so well with visitors. It’s that sweet spot between having your own space and being completely immersed in one of Europe’s most beautiful historic centers. You’re not just staying near the Old Town — you’re actually living in it, at least temporarily. The host clearly knows what travelers need and has set things up thoughtfully. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having keys to your own place rather than dealing with hotel lobbies and schedules. For couples especially, it creates this little bubble where you can experience Dubrovnik at your own pace.
To book a hotel in Dubrovnik during summer festivals, visitors plan ahead to balance Lokrum picnics with sunset concerts in marble plazas.

What Our Guests Say
Very cozy place, can see the sun rise in the morning, complete cooking utensils, the decoration in house is quite lovely, we really had a good time there.
What could be improved: The neighbor is noisy beginning 7am, and any random time all day;
The water heater is not enough for 3 persons to take shower, usually need to wait for 30 mins for next one;
Many stairs to the front door, not really good for of people
The Appartment is very nice with everything you require for your stay. It is in the old town so close to shops/food/Old port
What could be improved: The appartment has neighbour below who bangs the walls. In one day it was 15 times load bang noise. Its an known problem but nothing can be done. He starts banging the walls at 7am and hits random times
Great location, very spacious and nicely decorated, clean, well-stocked kitchen if you need it.
What could be improved: Communication from the host agency was poor, messaged incessantly and at all hours even over a week prior to our arrival. You have to collect your key from a separate location (not too far) prior to arrival, bit inconvenient with luggage. As others have said, there are a lot of stairs so plan accordingly. Arrived to a loud beeping noise from the fire alarm control box, that has apparently been beeping all summer. It took multiple messages, phone calls, and a visit to the office to eventually find a solution to make it stop, all the while staff were generally rude and dismissive (until a very nice interaction at the end when it was partially resolved). Alarm continuously needed resetting throughout our stay (does it even work properly?) and throughout the night, the agency cannot get any contact with the actual owner of the property - so bit of a nightmare if something more significant goes wrong. As with previous review, there is a neighbour who bangs the wall aggressively and loudly
The property was in a perfect location in Old Town. The place felt very homely and had everything you needed for a long stay & short stay
What could be improved: The aircon in the large bedroom didn’t work well. We had to blast the two aircon units downstairs in hopes of the cool air traveling up. The amount of stairs it takes to get to the place is exhausting and then there’s more steep stairs once you open the front door to enter. At that point it’s exhausting to carry on. There should be a service where you can pay extra for assistance with baggage being brought to the property from the office. People will most certainly pay for it. This should also be one of the first things disclosed about the property. Someone with asthma would have no chance. Once you arrive up the stairs within the property, there’s more stairs to the bedroom, we simply gave up at that point with our luggage and kept it all in the living room area and didn’t attempt to bring up to the bedrooms.
Location was great, near everything but very quiet. Yes, there are stairs - both getting to the apartment from the outside and then as soon as you enter. But stairs seem pretty much unavoidable in most of the city. The AC worked great. It was a bit warm and stuffy in the apartment when I arrived, and the AC was not a super cold blast of air immediately when I turned it on, but I went out for a couple hours and came back and everything was cool. The apartment is super spacious with plenty of light and nicely decorated. Also nice views of the city from the windows.
What could be improved: Just don’t accidentally turn off the switch marked for the water heater like my travel buddy did, leaving me with a cold shower. The hot water did eventually return after we realized the problem and turned it back on, but it took a while.
This apartment was amazing . It was decorated with modern style . We loved all the smart spacious . It was at the center of the old town . Also I liked it so much that I didn’t want to go out . It was so full equipped. And I think that the owner has an amazing idea of decoration .
If I would visit the Old Town of Dubrovnik again it would be my first choice . I don’t understand why this apartment has bad comments . I really loved it .
What could be improved: Well I loved everything but the only problem for some people who have problems could be that it has many stairs .
The apartment was very good value for money , in a great location, exceptionally beautiful and equipped with everything that you can think of. The staff were very helpful.
What could be improved: Nothing
Location
What could be improved: That was very noise - hammer noises each early morning
The property was exactly like the pictures. place was modern and bright, really clean and a great size for our family. We had everything we needed in the apartment. the front reception was also very helpful.
What could be improved: As mentioned from other people, the air conditioning unit really isn’t strong enough to get the whole apartment cool. When we had 4 units running and it would be too much and then all of them would turn off. we had to reset the circuit a few times but it was WAY too warm to sleep up stairs. we ended up bringing down a mattress and sleeping on the main floor. we only used the lower levels AC units and turned off the upstairs ones. that was the only way to cool down the apartment.
we also had a bad experience with the neighbour from below…
my daughters (8 and 5) saw a guy outside and he told us not to feed the cats. When we were walking to go to our apartment we saw him (and he lives in the apartment below us) and went Another way to avoid him, I guess he saw us turn around and then started yelling at us and saying he “figured us out” and for us not to say we scolded us? It was just me and the girls. When we came inside we sat down and he started banging his ceiling really aggressively. we also heard him knocking on our door which really frightened the girls. my youngest was quite scared and didn’t want to go outside in case we ran into him again.
