I mean, the sea view isn’t just some sliver between buildings – it’s the real deal, especially gorgeous during those golden hour sunsets when the whole bay lights up.

The location in Lapad is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where locals live, not just tourist central. Sure, you’re about a 15-minute bus ride from Old Town (and the buses run pretty regularly), but honestly? I loved having this quieter base to come back to. There’s this lovely promenade right nearby where people walk their dogs and kids play – it’s got that authentic Croatian neighborhood vibe that you miss when you’re stuck in the busier areas. The apartment itself feels genuinely spacious, which is rare around here. Two proper bedrooms, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re bumping into each other. The kitchen’s actually functional too – I made coffee there every morning and even managed a simple dinner one night after a long day exploring.

What really got me was the attention to detail. The place is clean without feeling sterile, and everything just… works. The wifi was solid (important when you’re trying to upload all those sunset photos), the shower had decent pressure, and the beds were comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a stiff neck. Even the little things – like having enough outlets for charging devices and decent lighting for reading – showed someone actually thought about what travelers need. The building’s pretty quiet too, which I appreciated after dealing with paper-thin walls at other places. I will say the walk up can be a bit of a workout if you’re carrying heavy luggage, but that’s pretty standard for this area. The hosts were responsive when I had questions about local restaurants, and check-in was smooth – no awkward waiting around or confusion about keys.
