You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Figurin? The fact that it’s tucked away on Hrvatskog Crvenog Kriza street in Lapad, which honestly sounds intimidating to pronounce but is actually one of those quiet residential areas that locals prefer over the tourist madness. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to Lapad Bay in about eight minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but you escape all the cruise ship crowds that basically invade the Old Town every morning around 9 AM.

The apartment itself has this really solid, lived-in quality that you don’t get in those sterile hotel chains. The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need – like proper blackout curtains (thank god, because Croatian summer sunrises are no joke), a kitchen that’s actually functional for more than just heating up leftovers, and bathroom fixtures that don’t feel like they’ll break if you look at them wrong. The 9.7 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just really, really good at being comfortable. The WiFi actually works throughout the whole place, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess this up.

Location-wise, this is where it gets interesting. Lapad has this perfect sweet spot thing going on – you’re on the same peninsula as some of Dubrovnik’s best beaches (Uvala Bay is literally a 15-minute walk and way less crowded than Banje), but you can still catch bus line 6 right from near the apartment straight to Pile Gate when you want to do the whole Game of Thrones tourist thing. The neighborhood has actual grocery stores where locals shop, not just overpriced tourist marts, and there’s this little bakery about three blocks away that opens at 6 AM if you’re an early riser. Parking can be tricky during peak season – well, parking anywhere in Dubrovnik is tricky – but the residential streets around here are definitely more forgiving than trying to find a spot near the Old Town walls. The building itself is quiet, which matters because sound travels weird in these older Croatian buildings, and honestly, after a day of walking around in the summer heat, you just want to crash without hearing every conversation from the hallway.

  The property was so modern and spacious also terrace so big which was good too. It had all the necessary equipment for a short stay and was really tied and so clean. Also the host who I spoke to was quickly responsive and so helpful i definitely be recommending the apartment to friends or family and Dubrovnik was amazing fell in love with the place and people, Hvala Dubrovnik do sljedećeg puta!
