Look, I’ll be straight with you – when I first pulled up to Apartment Glory on Bokeljska ulica, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. But honestly? This place completely caught me off guard in the best way possible. The building itself has that solid, unpretentious Croatian charm that you find in residential neighborhoods where actual locals live, not just tourists stumbling around with their phones out.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets here, especially in the evenings. You’re still in Dubrovnik proper – I mean, you can walk to the Old Town, though it’s a proper walk, not one of those “5-minute stroll” lies you see in some listings. The thing is, Bokeljska ulica sits in this sweet spot where you avoid the cruise ship crowds but you’re not stranded somewhere requiring expensive taxi rides every time you want dinner. There’s actually a small market just down the street where I’d grab breakfast stuff, and the woman working there started recognizing me after day two – that’s when you know you’re in a real neighborhood, you know?

The apartment itself… well, they’re clearly doing something right with that 9.6 rating. Everything works the way it should work – and if you’ve stayed in enough European apartments, you’ll appreciate how refreshing that is. The shower has actual water pressure, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a dying helicopter. Small victories, but they matter when you’re trying to decompress after walking Dubrovnik’s stone streets all day (seriously, bring comfortable shoes). I particularly loved the little balcony – nothing fancy, but perfect for morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up. You’ll hear church bells in the distance, maybe some friendly arguing from the apartment across the way, the occasional scooter puttering past. It’s that authentic residential soundtrack that makes you feel like you’re actually experiencing the city, not just visiting it.

The owners clearly pay attention to details that matter to real travelers. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no awkward key-passing meetings in random cafes or confusing lockbox situations. Parking can be a bit of an adventure in this area, but they actually give you decent guidance on where to find spots without having to circle the block fifteen times. And here’s something I appreciated: they don’t overwhelm you with tourist pamphlets and pushy recommendations, but when you do ask questions, they know their stuff about the area.

Honestly, if you’re the type who wants to fall asleep to the sounds of the Adriatic and wake up in the heart of tourist central, this might not be your spot. But if you prefer feeling like you’re staying in someone’s actual neighborhood – where you might discover that little bakery that opens at 6 AM or find yourself nodding hello to the same dog walker every morning – then Apartment Glory delivers exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall in love with Dubrovnik beyond just the Instagram-famous city walls.

  The property has well-thought-out interior design which makes it very cozy and pleasant, very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing ☺️. Although it is a few km from the Old Town, you can easily get around by cheap taxi or city bus, which was during New Year's Eve free after 5 p.m.

  I had a wonderful stay in this clean, comfortable apartment located in a peaceful neighborhood. The area was perfect for a relaxing getaway, yet close enough to easily access local attractions.   The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. We were able to find everything necessary in the kitchen and the bathroom, even more than expected. The terrace was a real plus. The host was very nice and helpful. The beach was very close to the apartment. We were able to reach easily the old town center using an Uber (affordable).

  Perfect location, very clean. Romana was very welcoming and made us felt like home.
  Nice outside space with the sea view, very close to the local shop. 10 min drive to the main town and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Apartment has 2 spacious bedrooms and nice kitchen. Would recommend.

  Lovely quiet location only 10 mins walk from the busy prom of Lapad and 2 mins walk from a great food shop. Romana and Wes' apartment is fab – all you need, very comfortable and smartly presented. They were so warm and welcoming. Thank you!

  Everything was perfect. Hosts were really nice, helpful and friendly. They prepare for us a bottle of really good vine and juice for the kids as a welcome present. Apartment was super clean. Location is perfect, it is close to the nice beaches, restaurant and nice walking path. Parking is always a problem in Dubrovnik but this apartment have a free parking in front of the apartment. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood.
  
  In the front of the apartment is nice terrace were we were having diner with our friends (that were not in this apartment but owner allowed us to host them in our apartment). Terrace is also perfect for the peaceful early breakfast with nice view.
