You know what struck me first about Apartment Hope? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it’s got this quietly optimistic vibe that somehow captures exactly what you want from a Dubrovnik stay. Tucked away on Ulica Iva Dulčića, it’s in one of those residential pockets that most tourists never discover, maybe a 15-minute walk from the Old Town madness but worlds away from the cruise ship crowds that flood Stradun every morning.
The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Dubrovnik – that post-war reconstruction style that’s not going to win any architecture awards, but honestly, who cares when you’re paying half what you’d shell out inside the city walls? What impressed me was how the owners actually put thought into the details. The apartments are genuinely spacious (and I mean by European standards, not just Croatian apartment standards), with these lovely little balconies where you can sit with morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up. There’s something really authentic about hearing the local bakery fire up at 6 AM and seeing kids walking to school – stuff you’d never experience in the tourist zone. The kitchen actually has everything you need, which is refreshing since so many places give you two forks and call it fully equipped.
Here’s the thing about the location that took me a while to appreciate – you’re positioned perfectly for both the city and the coast. Walk one direction and you hit the main road that connects to everything; walk the other and you’re heading toward some of the quieter beaches that locals use. Parking is… well, it’s Dubrovnik, so it’s complicated everywhere, but at least here you’re not trying to navigate rental car through medieval streets. The neighborhood gets properly quiet at night too, which is gold if you’re trying to recover from those late dinners that somehow stretch until midnight. I mean, the walls are decent – you might hear the occasional conversation from the hallway, but nothing that’ll keep you awake.
The hosts run a tight ship without being overly involved, if that makes sense. Check-in was smooth, they left local recommendations that were actually useful (not just the typical tourist traps), and when I had a minor issue with the shower pressure, they sorted it out within hours. That 9-star rating isn’t just people being generous – it reflects the fact that this place delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. For a 3-star spot, it punches well above its weight class, especially considering what you get for the price point in this city.

От души рекомендую!! Хорошие Апартаменты. Два сан узла, кондиционер. Через дорогу автобусная остановка, до центра 15 минут. Вблизи находятся два городских пляжа,пешком минут 10-15 .
Особенно хочу сказать больше спасибо хозяйке. Очень приветливая, всегда была на связи и отвечала на все вопросы.

hard bed, booked 5 nights, stayed only 1 Modern, well equipped apartment for people who like hard matrasses.
What could be improved: I booked the apartment for 5 nights because I saw a box spring bed on the photographs. Upon arrival, it turned out to be exceptionally hard. After one night, I moved to another location. Of the original price of 484,50 Euro Mario & Marijana refunded 200 Euro, what I consider very fair.
Excellent property with great amenities for a short stay Having parking space was a bonus, the host had great communication throughout and there were tea and coffee facilities while on our stay. Lots of good restaurants and shops around and good bus communication. The balcony area was also handy.
What could be improved: It was 40 mins walking from old city, but if you don't mind walking is handy.
Everything else was as advertised
Great location and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment had absolutely everything we needed. Very clean and modern. Ideal location walkable distance to 3 beaches and a bus stop across the road to the old town.

Lovely host, modern apartment Host was excellent, helped with a lot, let us check in early and let us check out late to accommodate us. Helped us when addresses for cleaning clothes, luggage storage and great places to eat. Very modern apartment, really nice

What could be improved: Facilities were great. The floor wasn t cleaned in weeks it seemed, quite dirty, we wear flip flops all the time. The bed was clean, also the amenities, just the floor itself. I expect at least a mop thrown around for 200eur

Well located apartment in new complex The apartment is relatively new and roomy. It is very well located - bus stops to old town are right outside, there is a grocery store next door, bakery down street, and promenade to sunset beach is walkable distance. We felt very comfortable here.
What could be improved: It could be a bit cleaner (perhaps having full occupancy during summer months puts pressure on cleaning routine) but otherwise ok.
We are also non-smokers so we could instantly tell smokers had used property previously.
Good value, great location. The property was new, the facilities as well. Good location ( grocery store nearby and bus that sends you to old town if right in front of the building, beaches nearby as well)
What could be improved: The floors weren’t as clean as one would hope.
