You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Ingrid? The moment I walked up to Petra Krešimira IV 20, I realized I’d stumbled onto something pretty special in Ploče. I mean, when you’re booking a 3-star place in Dubrovnik, you’re honestly just hoping for clean sheets and maybe a decent view – but this little gem actually delivers way more than that.

The thing about staying in Ploče is that you’re perfectly positioned without dealing with the absolute chaos of the Old Town (trust me, you’ll thank yourself during peak summer when tourists are packed like sardines down there). From Ingrid’s place, you can actually walk to the city walls in about 10 minutes, but more importantly, you’re close enough to slip away from the crowds whenever you need a breather. I loved how I could grab morning coffee at one of the local spots along the harbor – there’s this little café that locals frequent where you won’t pay tourist prices, and it’s basically around the corner.

What really impressed me was how Ingrid has set everything up inside. The apartment feels like someone’s actual home, not some sterile rental unit. The kitchen actually has proper utensils (revolutionary, I know), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The Wi-Fi was solid – I had a few work calls and never had issues. Honestly, the 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there because it’s those little touches that matter: good water pressure, air conditioning that actually works, and windows that block out street noise pretty well. Speaking of noise, Ploče gets refreshingly quiet in the evenings compared to the Old Town, where you’ve got restaurant crowds and tour groups until all hours.

The location is sort of perfect for exploring beyond just Dubrovnik’s main attractions too. You’re a quick bus ride from Lapad if you want proper beaches, and getting to the cable car is straightforward from here. I actually walked to the port area several times – it’s where you catch boats to Lokrum Island, and there’s something nice about having that flexibility without constantly navigating through packed streets. Parking can be tricky around here (well, it’s tricky everywhere in Dubrovnik), but Ingrid gave me solid advice about where to find spots, and honestly, walking everywhere was more pleasant anyway.

  Great location, just a short walk from Old Town and Banje Beach. There's free parking, so definitely a huge plus if you'll have a car during your trip. The balcony overlooks Old Town and Lokrum Island–the view is incredible. The apartment itself was very clean and spacious, perfect for a couple. We especially appreciated that there were separate beach towels provided, since we hadn't brought our own. Ingrid was a wonderful host, very sweet and friendly. She also lives in the bottom unit of the building, so easily reachable if necessary. Amazing stay overall–would definitely come back!

  Great location, within minutes of the Old Town. Apartment was fabulous, spotlessly clean and balcony had great view overlooking the sea and Old Town. Communication with host was great. Arranged airport transfers and on hand to answer any queries. Don’t hesitate to book.

  The apartment was very well presented, with everything meeting our expectations. The host met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. We booked an airport transfer through Ingrid, who turned out to be extremely knowledgeable and gave us many recommendations for our stay. The apartment was just a short walk from the old town, with a magnificent view over Dubrovnik and the surrounding islands.

  Don't hesitate if you find availability. Exceeded all expectations (which were high anyway!). Ingrid is a very good host and kind. This location is stunning. Everything works in the apartment and it is spotless. Definitely worth the money.

  Though it's a little bit pricy, you get a quality stay in Dubrovnik. The place comes with a gorgeous view of the Old Town and the nearby Lokrum island which you can admire from a small – but sufficient – balcony. The apartment is squeaky clean, comfortable, and has everything you may possibly need, and more – unless you're not a fan of an old-school filter coffee machine 😉 The apartment is a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Old Town, and the steep stairs mentioned here by some other guests are really not that problematic. A well-stocked grocery store is also nearby. The owner is nice and helpful, and makes you feel welcome. It's a lovely place for a couple.

  The apartment іs very clean, cosy and beautiful. It has everything you may need. It is situated right near Banje beach and very close to Old Town which was ideal for us. This apartment also has a balcony with a stunning view to the sea and the town. Ingrid is a wonderful host – she is very nice and ready to help.
