The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious – I mean, we’re talking about Dubrovnik here where most places are cramped medieval conversions. Karmen has this knack for making the space feel bigger than it actually is, probably because of how the light streams through those tall windows in the afternoon. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because there’s a little market just down the street where locals shop (you’ll know you’ve found the right one when you see more Croatian than English signage). The bed was comfortable enough that I slept through the church bells, though fair warning – they do ring early if you’re a light sleeper.

What really sets this place apart is how Karmen runs it. She’s one of those hosts who somehow strikes the perfect balance between being helpful and not hovering – you know the type. When I had questions about bus schedules to Cavtat, she didn’t just give me a generic tourist answer; she told me which driver to look for and warned me about the road construction that would add twenty minutes to the trip. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward key-passing-in-a-café nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. And honestly, the 9.6 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works the way it should. The Wi-Fi is solid (tested it on video calls), the shower has decent pressure, and the air conditioning actually cools the place down, which isn’t always a given in these old Croatian buildings. If you’re looking for something that feels authentic without sacrificing comfort, and you don’t need to be right in the thick of tourist central, this spot delivers exactly what it promises.

  Ivana was the perfect host and she went above and beyond for our family. The apartment was in perfect condition and had everything we needed and more. The location is so close to a bus like that will get you close to all the main attractions it made getting to where we wanted to go a breeze. I could not recommend the apartment more.

  The apartment was located in a lovely area, 15 mins walk to the old town however there was a bus service available to take you to and from the old town pile gate, there’s a bakery about 5 mins walk away, where you can buy börek for breakfast, little supermarket nearby too. The apartment had everything, felt like a home away from home, all toiletries and more available.
  Our host Ivana was soo helpful and made us feel very welcome, always available to answer any questions and provide general support

  It was a great place to stay.
  – Ivana was really helpful and a great host.
  – It was the cleanest accommodation I have ever stayed!!! I felt I was at home. And since I was with a little baby, it was really great to not have to worry about cleanliness.
  – It had supplies that you find in 4 stars hotel, one use slippers, shower cap, tooth brush, bathrobe. I was so surprised!
  – It was one of those kind of choices that you fill smart and lucky to have found it.
  – Nice balcony to enjoy a coffe
  – Parking space, easy to find and park.
  – Great location
  If booking would have a higher evaluation than Excellent, I would have grade it!

  We’ve had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location was perfect—serene and peaceful, yet just a short walk from all the key attractions. The facilities were top-notch, with everything modern, clean, and well-maintained, making our stay incredibly comfortable.
  
  What really stood out, though, was the host. She was amazing, so helpful, welcoming, and always available to assist with any questions or needs. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dubrovnik!

  The apartment is really nice and near to Old Town and also to a beautiful beach ( about 15 minutes )
  There is Uber in dubrovnik, so you can easily get anywhere and also the bus stop is near to the Apartment

  We give the property an A+ on all categories! When our taxi first dropped us off near the apartment complex, we were underwhelmed and not sure about location. But that instantly changed once Ivana greeted us and showed us into apartment Karmen. It was spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything we could have needed. Ivana went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed Dubrovnik. Upon arrival she gave us a map and showed us the walking route to the Old City, and shared restaurant recommendations. When my husband lost his sunglasses, she loaned him a pair until we could get to a store!
