Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Apartment La Petite? The address made me think I’d be dealing with tourist chaos 24/7, but Braće Andrijića is actually this quiet little side street that somehow manages to feel worlds away from the crowds – even though you’re literally steps from Stradun. I mean, you can hear the main pedestrian street when things get busy during the day, but it’s more like a gentle hum than the overwhelming noise you’d expect. The building itself has that classic Dubrovnik limestone look, and honestly, walking up to it for the first time, I had that moment where you think “okay, this is going to be good.”
The apartment lives up to its 9.3 rating in ways that actually matter when you’re traveling. The stone walls keep things surprisingly cool even in peak summer (learned that the hard way during a July visit), and there’s something about waking up to those narrow medieval streets that never gets old. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to modernize everything without losing the old-world charm – the bathroom is properly updated, the kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab ingredients from the morning market at Gundulić Square, and the WiFi doesn’t drop every five minutes like some places in the Old Town. The view isn’t going to win any Instagram contests, but you get these glimpses of daily life that feel more authentic than staring at cruise ships all day.
Location-wise, you’re spoiled here. Two minutes to Rector’s Palace, maybe three to the harbor if you walk slowly and get distracted by the morning light hitting the fortress walls (which happens more than you’d think). The Pile Gate is close enough that you don’t dread carrying luggage, but far enough that you avoid the worst of the day-tripper stampedes. I’ve stayed here twice now – once in shoulder season and once during the summer madness – and both times I found myself taking different routes home just to explore the maze of streets around there. Fair warning though: like everywhere in the Old Town, those stone steps can be slippery when it rains, and the narrow streets mean you’ll hear your neighbors more than you would in a modern hotel. But honestly? That’s part of the charm. You’re staying in a living, breathing piece of history, not some sanitized resort bubble, and Apartment La Petite gets that balance just right.

Space very good. Also heard area can be noisy which is true. However we opened windows and enjoyed the outside sounds, but when we went to bed closed the windows and not an outside sound was heard. We have had some difficult nights in Prague , London and Lisbon when the noise was overwhelming. And no window helped
What could be improved: Booking.com says this has city view. That is a tremendous stretch. But not really a deal breaker.Stewart from United Kingdom – 15 September 2024 (10/10)

It was a fantastic location in the old town, quiet and comfortable and very clean.
What could be improved: The bed was a little springy and the pillows not very supportive.Ravindra from United Kingdom – 9 June 2024 (8/10)
Not applicable
What could be improved: No ventilation in the bathroom (like an extractor fan), location is awkward as no cars can reach so difficult with luggage.Rod from United Kingdom – 18 October 2023 (10/10)

What a place! Great location and very quiet. It was small but superbly laid out with everything you needed. Very stylish with good quality furnishings. Very clean. Good comms with owners who were very accommodating.
What could be improved: Not the cheapest, but well worth it.
No negatives!
