It’s tucked away on a quiet street in Lapad, which honestly is one of the best neighborhoods to stay in if you want to experience Dubrovnik without the constant tourist chaos. The building itself has this elegant, understated charm — not flashy, but you can tell it’s well-maintained. What really caught my attention was how peaceful it felt, even though you’re still close to everything that matters.
Lapad is where locals actually want to live, and that tells you something. You’ve got the beautiful Lapad Bay just a short walk away, with its tree-lined promenade that’s perfect for evening strolls. The beach there is actually swimmable — unlike some of the rocky spots closer to Old Town — and there’s this relaxed vibe that you don’t get in the more touristy areas. I mean, you can still reach Dubrovnik’s famous walls in about 15 minutes by bus, but you’ll sleep so much better here without the cruise ship crowds right outside your window.
The apartment itself feels like staying at a friend’s place — if your friend happens to have excellent taste and a four-star attention to detail. The space is thoughtfully designed with modern touches that don’t feel cold or impersonal. You know what I really appreciated? The kitchen is actually functional — not just some token mini-fridge situation. You can prepare real meals if you want to, which is great because Croatian markets have incredible fresh produce and seafood. The whole place just feels… livable, I guess is the best way to put it.
Here’s something that’ll save you both money and headaches — they have free private parking right on site. If you’ve ever tried to park in Dubrovnik during summer, you’ll understand why this is basically worth its weight in gold. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth, not just checking boxes. They’re the type who’ll give you actual local recommendations instead of just pointing you toward the nearest tourist trap restaurant.
That 9.5 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen — you feel it in the details. Couples especially seem to get it, probably because there’s something romantic about having your own space in such a beautiful setting. The combination of being in a residential neighborhood while still having easy access to everything Dubrovnik offers is pretty much perfect. You get the authentic Croatian experience during the day, then come back to your quiet retreat in the evening. It’s that balance between exploration and relaxation that makes a trip memorable rather than just exhausting.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and tidy. Our host was on site when we arrived so there was no waiting to get into the apartment. There is a good bakery and supermarket extremely close by.
What could be improved: The apartment is on the third floor and at least a 20 min walk down to the old city. This could be an issue if there are any mobility problems.
So helpful, we were allowed to pop our luggage in early. We got taken to the airport super helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
What could be improved: There needs to be more lighting outside at night, quite dark wouldn't want to be a single traveller.
This was a large apartment with a great view outside of old town. A great spot if you need parking. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the host was very nice. The bus stops very nearby to go to and from old town (note that it's not listed on Google Maps) or an easy walk down into old town. I would definitely recommend.
What could be improved: It is on the 4th floor without an elevator, if that is a problem for you. I prefer to not have to arrange to meet the host for key handover, but the host was nice and accommodating.

Great location, close to good restaurants, a beach and a short bus ride to the old city.
Hospitality of owner was over and above expectations. He met at the apartment despite our very late arrival, briefed us on the property and gave some recommendations. Super clean and comfortable, wonderful view. The local beach, across the road, Bellevue, was exceptional. Water was so clear, we loved spending the morning there. A few steps to get down to it but worth every one of them. Easy 20 min walk into the old town, we were glad we didn’t stay in the chaotic old town - it was lovely to return to the apartment. It’s on a main road but when the doors are closed, it was quiet and we slept very well. We ate at Jack’s, 2 mins from the apartment which was great value and absolutely delicious. Don’t hesitate to book this apartment, highly recommended.
The host was very helpful and the apartment is very well equipped. It is around a 15 minute walk to the city walls. There are various restaurants nearby.
What could be improved: Not a problem for us but just to say that there is not an oven / grill; there is a microwave.
