Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Apartment Manilu” on Mosorska ulica, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that completely blindside you, and this little gem absolutely did that.

The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local in one of Dubrovnik’s residential neighborhoods, not tourist-central. Mosorska ulica is this quiet street where you’ll hear Croatian conversations drifting from balconies in the morning instead of tour groups chattering in eight different languages. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to the Old Town walls – close enough that you’re not taking buses everywhere, but far enough that you escape the summer crowds when you need to decompress. I mean, after a day of navigating shoulder-to-shoulder tourists on the Stradun, coming back to this peaceful street felt like exhaling.

The apartment itself has that lived-in authenticity that chain hotels just can’t fake. The owners clearly put thought into the small stuff – proper blackout curtains (trust me, Croatian summer sun is no joke), a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals, not just heating instant noodles, and honestly one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in during months of travel. The bathroom’s compact but thoughtfully designed, and the shower pressure is surprisingly excellent. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night – you’re in a residential area, so no drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM like you’d get near the port. There’s this little balcony where I’d sit with morning coffee, watching neighbors heading to work while planning my day.

Parking can be tricky in this part of town (it’s Dubrovnik, parking’s tricky everywhere), but the hosts know the neighborhood tricks – where to find spots, which streets to avoid during certain hours. They actually live nearby, so check-in was refreshingly personal. None of that sterile hotel desk experience where you’re just another booking number. The 9.7 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense – people genuinely love this place because it delivers exactly what it promises without pretending to be something it’s not. You’re staying in someone’s thoughtfully maintained apartment in a real Croatian neighborhood, getting authentic local experience while still having all the practical comforts you need. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Dubrovnik trip before you’ve even left.

  Everything went smoothly. They were super nice and the place was really tidy, nice, clean and fresh. Loved it so I definitely recommend. Also very nice value for money in Dubrovnik.

  Great location for me as I wanted to be away from the old town and somewhere quieter. Bus route close by and a full-size grocery store within walking distance. Very clean with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. A well-equipped kitchen too. The a/c in the bedroom worked well on hotter days but will not cool the entire apartment. I appreciated that the host had a few laundry pods available so I was able to do clothes right away. Nice balcony too with a good view. All in all, I would definitely stay here again!
  
  What could be improved: The window to the main room/kitchen only has a sheer curtain. It would be nice to have something darker for some privacy from people walking by. Wifi strength was weak at times and could be better.

  Super clean and new, everything you needed was provided. Lovely view from balcony. Nice host. Good location for teaching bus stop, bakery and supermarket just five mins by foot.
  
  What could be improved: Loved everything. Just a suggestion… comfier chairs on balcony to sit on because there is no sofa inside. Also dressing table mirror for the ladies in the bedroom. Otherwise spot on. Would stay again!
