It’s tucked away on Ulica Gorica Svetog Vlaha in Lapad – which honestly sounds way more intimidating than it is. The street’s quiet, tree-lined, and you know what? You can actually sleep here without earplugs, which is saying something for a city that gets absolutely mobbed with tourists.
The apartment itself has that lived-in Croatian charm that you just can’t fake. I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works, it’s spotlessly clean, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood home than a sterile hotel room. The owner clearly knows their stuff – check-in was smooth, they actually answered questions about local buses (the 6 line is your friend for getting to Old Town), and they stock the basics so you’re not scrambling for toilet paper at midnight. What really won me over though was the balcony situation. Most places in this price range stick you with a view of a parking lot, but here you’ve got these glimpses of the Adriatic between the buildings, especially nice with morning coffee.
Lapad peninsula is where the locals actually hang out, and staying here puts you right in the middle of that vibe. The beach at Lapad Bay is maybe a 10-minute walk downhill – pebbly but clean, with that ridiculously clear water Croatia’s famous for. There’s a decent bakery (pekara) two streets over that opens early, and the Konzum supermarket is close enough that you can grab wine and cheese for impromptu balcony dinners. Sure, you’ll need to take a bus or taxi to reach Dubrovnik’s Old Town, but honestly? Coming back to Lapad after fighting the cruise ship crowds feels like exhaling. The whole area gets this lovely golden hour light in the evenings, and you can hear families chatting from their terraces – it’s that authentic Croatian neighborhood life that most tourists completely miss. That 9.4 rating makes total sense once you realize you’re getting genuine local living, not just another tourism-focused crash pad.

Exceptional Location and view were great!
Wonderful view and a great stay The balcony and view. What a pleasure to make a cup of tea and eat outside. It’s a small studio with basic cooking facilities which was perfect for 2 nights. Got an uber from the bus station arriving from Montenegro and went to Mr Foster for coffee. Easy checkin/out. Not hot enough for the beach but we walked part of the way down for a look. Supermarket close by and comfy bed. Didn’t need the aircon

Would have loved it to be bigger with more facilities so we could have stayed longer :)

Beautiful pleasant stay The studio was clean and modern, is located at a quiet area but only 10-15 minutes walk to Old Town. The balcony has incredible sea-view. The host is super friendly and helpful. I really had a pleasant stay

Amazing property in Dubrovnik I and my daughter had an amazing stay in Dubrovnik! The property has unbeatable views from the balcony and the room! Room is well equipped with everything you need. Walking distance to the old city and to the port/coach station.

Beautiful views, had everything I needed. Quiet and about 25 minutes walk from the Old City.
Good Self checkout was easy and the room was a good size. We enjoyed having the balcony to sit in the evenings and the cooking facilities really helped for breakfasts. Everything was clean and we had towels provided
What could be improved: The bed was a little hard and the duvets were quite thin so we didn't sleep too well but other than that everything was great
