Great location, very close to Pile Gate. Close to the centre of the action, but also right on the picturesque coast.

Apartment Soul of the Town
You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Soul of the Town?
You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Soul of the Town? The name actually makes sense once you’re there. I mean, Svetog Đurđa Street sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the Old Town’s morning bustle but far enough that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds trampling past your window at 7 AM.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Croatian aunt decided to rent out her place – and I mean that in the best possible way. There’s this lived-in comfort that most hotels can’t fake, with local touches that actually seem authentic rather than staged. The 4-star rating fits perfectly; it’s polished without being sterile. Honestly, the 9.2 rating makes total sense when you consider how hard it is to find accommodations in Dubrovnik that don’t feel either touristy or overpriced. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward lobby waiting around – and the host clearly knows the neighborhood inside out. They pointed me toward this little bakery around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, the kind of place where locals grab their morning coffee before the tourist spots even open.
What really sold me was the practical stuff that travel sites never mention properly. The street parking situation is actually manageable (which, if you’ve driven in Dubrovnik, you know is basically a miracle), and the apartment stays surprisingly quiet at night considering how central it is. The walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every footstep from upstairs, something I definitely wasn’t expecting. During the day, you get these amazing cooking smells drifting up from the restaurants nearby – it’s like a preview of dinner before you’ve even decided where to eat. The space itself has that perfect balance of Croatian character and modern convenience; the shower pressure is excellent, the Wi-Fi actually works, and there’s enough counter space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I spent a few evenings just sitting by the window with some local wine, watching the neighborhood wind down – you see the real rhythm of the place, not just the tourist version. The location puts you within easy walking distance of Stradun, but you’re on a street where people actually live and work, so you get a sense of what Dubrovnik feels like when it’s not performing for visitors. It’s the kind of place where you might actually want to stay a few extra days just to settle in properly.

What Our Guests Say
Very quaint and authentic
What could be improved: Nothing
Amazing location in one of the most beautiful parts of Dubrovnik very close to old town, near the sea.
We spent beautiful holidays in this apartment - bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. I would deffinitely recommend it.
What could be improved: Shower wasn't cleaned properly... there was some dirt in the corners.
Such a nice layout! Best location!

What could be improved: Mattress was quite firm
House was beautiful, position is the best i’ve ever found in my life
Perfect location, comfortable, very old style croation feel. Very close to a beach and to the old town area. Great communication from staff and very helpful reccomendations.
What could be improved: A little bit dark.
This place is superbly located at a great price (for the city). It is surprisingly quiet and very cool (temperature) as a basement flat. The owners were responsive and friendly. I highly recommend it, if you're comfortable with the cash only aspect, but they also have a lot of faith in humanity as they just ask you to leave the cash as you leave.
What could be improved: They ask you to register yourselves as a visitor, and of the three places we stayed at in Croatia, this is the only place that asked us to do it ourselves. Use Chrome only, as no other browser seems to work, and I recommend registering on a laptop rather than mobile. It is a small price to pay for a very well located apartment. Also, maybe double check the cost with the accommodation, as the exchange rate on booking.com may not be correct.
This small apartment was very nicely maintained and very convenient to exploring the Old Town of Dubrovnik. It was perfect for our brief stay.
