You know what struck me first about Apartment Stulli 1? The address alone tells you everything – Stulina 2 puts you right in the thick of Old Town Dubrovnik, and I mean literally inside those famous medieval walls. When I first walked down that narrow cobblestone street (and honestly, it’s so narrow you’ll hear every conversation from the neighboring apartments), I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But stepping inside completely changed my perspective.

The apartment itself is one of those pleasant surprises that makes you wonder why it’s not rated higher. Everything feels thoughtfully put together – not fancy, but genuinely comfortable in a way that actually matters when you’re trying to relax after walking those steep city walls all day. The owners clearly know their stuff because they’ve managed to blend modern conveniences with that old-world Croatian charm without making it feel forced or touristy. I was particularly impressed by how quiet it gets at night, which is honestly miraculous given that you’re basically sleeping in the heart of one of Europe’s busiest tourist destinations. The thick stone walls – well, they’re not just for show, they actually block out most of the street noise from the late-night revelry.

Here’s what I really appreciated: you can walk to Stradun (the main pedestrian street) in about two minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant flow of cruise ship crowds right outside your window. The morning light filtering through those traditional shutters is something else – it hits different when you’re surrounded by 13th-century architecture. Getting there is a bit of an adventure since cars obviously can’t navigate these streets, but the hosts are really good about meeting you at the nearest access point. Just pack light or be prepared for a bit of a walk with your luggage over those smooth, sometimes slippery stones. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it nails everything it sets out to do. I mean, where else can you grab fresh bread from a local bakery, walk to the city walls for sunrise (seriously, do this), and still feel like you’re living like a local rather than just another tourist? It’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay in Dubrovnik, which honestly says everything you need to know.

  Everything was great but the best thing is where is located, not too many steps to get to if you’re bringing luggage, inside Old town and right next to a few good restaurants and pretty peaceful to sleep at night. Plus the apartment aesthetics are beautiful.

  This apartment has everything you need. Bed was very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, apartment was clean and host was very responsive. The location is is in a prime area close to attractions and supermarket.
  
  What could be improved: My only complaint was the wifi was down for a day and night which was inconvenient as it was raining that night with nothing to do and no streaming because of wifi. The host was very apologetic.
