You know what surprised me most about Apartment Stulli 2? It’s actually tucked away just enough that you feel like you’ve found something special, but you’re still basically in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik. I mean, we’re talking Stulina 2 here – that’s literally steps from the main drag, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy at all.

The apartment itself is one of those places that makes you think the photos might be too good to be true, but honestly? It’s even better in person. The stone walls have this authentic medieval feel (because, well, they are medieval), but everything’s been restored so thoughtfully. The owners clearly know what they’re doing – there’s this perfect balance between historic charm and actually being able to charge your phone without hunting for adapters. The bathroom has heated floors, which might sound like a small thing until you’re walking around those stone streets all day and come back to warm tiles under your feet.

What really sold me was the morning routine. You can grab coffee from that little place around the corner – locals go there, not just tourists – and then you’re literally a two-minute walk to the city walls. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: if you head out early (like 7 AM), you’ll have those Instagram-worthy ramparts almost to yourself. The cruise ship crowds don’t hit until later, and by then you’re already sipping wine somewhere with a view. The apartment’s location means you can actually pop back during the day too, which is clutch when it’s blazing hot in summer or if you need to drop off shopping bags.

Parking was way easier than I expected – there’s a spot nearby where the owner directed us, and none of that nightmare driving through narrow medieval streets. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend confirming arrival time because the Old Town can get pretty crazy during peak season. The walls are thick enough that street noise isn’t really an issue, but you’ll still hear the occasional late-night reveler, which honestly just adds to the atmosphere.

The attention to detail is what bumps this from good to great. Fresh flowers, local wine waiting for us, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure was fantastic. After walking around ancient cobblestones all day, that matters more than you’d think. Plus the owner left this little guide with actual useful tips, not just the usual tourist stuff. Like where to buy groceries that don’t cost a fortune, and which restaurants locals actually go to.

If you’re debating between this and some generic hotel outside the walls, just book this. Yes, it’s probably more expensive, but you’re literally living inside a UNESCO World Heritage site. When you step out your door, you’re already where everyone else is trying to get to. That 9.6 rating isn’t just numbers – it’s because places like this are exactly why people fall in love with Dubrovnik in the first place.

  This place is amazing! Location is fabulous, you can walk to all the sites in minutes! Spotless, modern, I felt like a proper local popping in and out of our door to the street! Loved every little thing about this place. As noted by other reviewers, for some it may not be ideal if you had a problem with stairs, this set does go up on a bit of a twist—but for us there was absolutely no problem. The photos on this site are 100% accurate as to what you will be staying in. Vlaho met us at a very central/easy to find location to walk us to the apartment. He even made the arrangement for a taxi to collect us to the airport on our last morning.

  The location was wonderful, and quite central in Old Town. The property was very clean and spacious. The host was very lovely and met us at the castle walls to take us to the property so we didn’t get lost. The air conditioning was incredible!
  
  What could be improved: The bedrooms are upstairs and the small spiral at the top is quite narrow. Be careful carrying luggage upstairs.
