Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Apartment Toni? The moment I walked up to Lučarica 2, I realized I was basically in someone’s neighborhood – and I mean that in the best way possible. This isn’t one of those sterile hotel experiences where you feel like you’re in a corporate bubble. The building sits right in Old Town, which honestly can be a blessing and a curse depending on what you’re after.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for Dubrovnik standards (anyone who’s tried to find decent accommodation here knows what I’m talking about). Toni – and yes, there’s actually a Toni, not just a corporate name – has clearly put thought into the details. The kitchen has everything you’d actually need, not just the bare minimum most places get away with. I mean, there’s proper cookware, which is rare. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works, and the water pressure is solid. What really got me though was the view situation – you catch glimpses of the old stone walls from certain angles, and there’s this lovely morning light that filters through in a way that makes you want to linger over coffee.

Location-wise, you’re literally steps from Stradun, but here’s the thing about being in Old Town – it gets absolutely mobbed during cruise ship hours. I’m talking shoulder-to-shoulder crowds from about 9 AM to 4 PM in peak season. But once those day-trippers clear out? It’s magical. You can actually hear the fountains, smell the limestone after it rains, and the whole place transforms into something almost medieval. The walk to the city walls takes maybe three minutes, and you’re close enough to those little konobas tucked into the side streets that locals actually frequent. There’s this tiny place around the corner that does the best black risotto – Toni mentioned it during check-in, which was refreshingly personal.

Honestly, the 9.6 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not fancy in a five-star hotel way, but it’s genuinely comfortable and well-maintained. The WiFi actually works throughout the space, the air conditioning keeps up with those brutal summer afternoons, and everything feels clean without that over-sanitized hotel smell. Parking is – well, let’s be realistic – you’re not parking anywhere near here. But the arrangement Toni has with a garage about ten minutes away works fine, and he’ll walk you there if it’s your first time.

The only real downside is noise, but that’s true for anywhere in Old Town. You’ll hear people walking on the stones late at night, especially during festival season, and the church bells start early. But honestly? After a day or two, it becomes part of the charm. Plus, the windows are decent quality, so closing them helps if you’re a light sleeper. I’d definitely stay here again – it strikes that perfect balance between being in the heart of everything while still feeling like you have your own space to retreat to.

Brilliant location, right in the heart of Dubrovnik. Spotlessly clean with great facilities. Welcome drink was a lovely touch. We were met by Toni on arrival, who is extremely pleasant and helpful and always on hand to answer any questions about the apartment or Dubrovnik itself. Most definitely one of the best holiday homes we’ve ever stayed in. Taxi was arranged for us to and from the airport, and our driver Pavo was extremely punctual and professional. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance, it will enhance your holiday experience. Thank you!

What could be improved: Everything was great.

The location is amazing, right in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik, you walk out of your front door into the centre, yet with its double glazed windows is as quiet as anything.
It’s very well appointed with a lovely shower room, sitting room and double bedroom with a comfy bed.
The apartment was spotless with soft white towels, and quality linen, great Wi-Fi
The host who we met at his restaurant was superb
If you are looking for somewhere with charm and style to stay in the centre of old Dubrovnik look no further.

What could be improved: There is nothing we didn’t like about the apartment.

Sound isolation is perfect. Place is at the heart of Dubrovnik and very crowded/noise area but you closed the windows there is no noise, house has very good sound isolation.

Apartment is at the near of Stradun street, everything is close to apartment. Beach is close, almost 10 minutes walking.

Apartment owner Toni is amazing and helpful person. We thank him for his kindness.

Our vacation in Dubrovnik one of the most beautiful vacation we had. Thanks to Toni and his place.

The location was perfect right in the middle of the old town on level ground. It was bright and clean
