Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Dubrovnik apartments over the years, and Apartment Violeta 2 honestly surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Stjepana Cvijića – which, let me tell you, is one of those residential streets that most tourists never find but locals actually live on. You know what I mean? The kind of spot where you hear kids playing in courtyards instead of endless tour groups shuffling past your window at 6 AM.

The parking situation alone makes this place worth considering. I mean, anyone who’s driven into Dubrovnik knows it’s basically a nightmare trying to find a spot anywhere near the old town, but here you’ve actually got your own space. It’s not glamorous or anything – just a practical parking spot – but honestly, after circling those narrow streets for twenty minutes with luggage melting in the backseat, you’ll want to kiss the ground. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than one of those sterile rental units you find everywhere now. There’s this lived-in quality to it that I really appreciated – proper kitchen equipment (not just the bare minimum), decent wifi that actually works when you need to upload those sunset photos, and the kind of shower pressure that makes you want to stay in there forever after a day of walking Dubrovnik’s stone streets.

What really sold me on this place, though, was the neighborhood vibe. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk from Pile Gate – close enough that you’re not taking buses or taxis constantly, but far enough that you escape the tourist madness when you want to. There’s a little bakery around the corner where the woman behind the counter started recognizing me after day two, and honestly, those morning pastries became part of my routine. The apartment gets this gorgeous light in the afternoons too, which sounds cheesy but actually matters when you’re trying to relax after trudging around the city walls. And here’s something nobody tells you – the area gets genuinely quiet at night. Not dead quiet, but that pleasant residential hum where you can actually sleep without earplugs. I stayed during shoulder season in October, so I can’t speak to summer crowds, but the whole street felt authentically Croatian rather than like a tourist theme park. The host was pretty responsive too – not hovering, but available when I had questions about bus routes and restaurant recommendations that actually turned out to be solid.

  The view from the apartment is spectacular. It is super helpful that the garage is available and it's big! Such a nice difference after getting there via all those narrow streets. And the apartment itself is great. It's spacious, well equipped and well maintained. Also it was super clean. Great place to stay for a couple of nights. The contact with the host was also exceptional.

  Great communication from the host who gave clear instructions to check in and kindly allowed us to leave our car at the property for a short while before our departure. The apartment is spotless and the beds very comfortable. Lovely private terrace with view. Nice layout to the apartment. We had a very comfortable stay. Thank you!

  Spacious and quiet apartment with a great terrace and port view. Everything was exactly as shown and described on Booking.com, so I would definitely recommend this place to others.
  The host – Ivo – was very welcoming and friendly. He provided all the necessary info re the apartment, showed us the best way to get the city center, answered our questions re restaurants, beaches etc. He also had small bottles of rakija, cherry brandy and green walnuts liquer prepared for us as welcome drinks, which was also really nice :-)).
  Kitchen – there was tea available (black, green, fruit), yummy biscuits, Nescafe 3 in 1; the kitchen was well equiped (cooker, dishwash, fridge with a freezer); there was also a washing liquid, sponge, dishwash tablets, paper towels, etc., so big plus for all these supplies.
  AC in the hall and in the living room was working perfectly, 2 clean toilets and 1 bathroom where you could find shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and soap; there was also a washing machine and a hair dryer.
  The beds were comfy and each bedroom has a TV. At the end of our stay we could check-out later in the afternoon, which was also great. Overall it was an amazing stay and we felt like at home. We really do miss having our breakfast on the terrace… And those more than 200 steps which lead from the port to the apartmant were a great daily excercise :-).
  So thank you for everything!
  PS: Lapad with Sumartin beach provided an excellent relax and we didn't even mind to walk there almost every day!

  Very clean and very nice appartment with terrace in a calm street. Good equipments. Supermarket around the corner. Nice view on the port. Easy check-in and communication with Ivo, who was very responsive and helpful.

  Very clean, fully equipped apartment with a nice view and a terrasse. Friendly owner, ready to assist. Detailed instructions on arrival and departure. Good location, close to shops and restaurants, not so far from beaches.

  The host is very friendly, and warmly introduced the apartment, The location is far from the main city, but it is close to the pier. There is a supermarket downstairs, Uber is recommended for travel

  The apartment was clean and comfortable with all the needed amenities and the view from the terrace was beautiful.
  It's only 10 minutes away from the old down and beaches by car.
