It’s tucked away on this quiet little street – Antuna Barca – that honestly feels like a world away from the cruise ship crowds, even though you’re still in Lapad. I mean, Lapad gets a bad rap sometimes for being too touristy, but this spot actually captures what I love about staying in residential neighborhoods. You’ll hear the occasional local conversation drifting up from the street in the morning, maybe some kids playing, but none of that overwhelming tourist chaos.

The whole setup is pretty straightforward – it’s one of those family-run places where you get the sense people actually care about the details. The rooms have that clean, no-nonsense vibe that works really well when you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring anyway. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night (something you can’t always count on in Dubrovnik), and honestly, the beds are more comfortable than you’d expect for a 3-star place. The apartments are perfect if you want to grab groceries from the local market and make breakfast – there’s something really satisfying about shopping where the locals do instead of paying hotel breakfast prices. Plus, you’re maybe a 15-minute walk to some decent beaches, which is actually pretty solid for this part of the city.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re here – you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the Old Town madness while still being able to access everything easily. I’d catch the bus into the historic center (runs pretty regularly), but more importantly, I could escape back to this peaceful pocket when the crowds got overwhelming. The staff seems to know their stuff too – they’ll point you toward that little bakery around the corner that locals actually use, or tell you the best times to visit Stradun when it’s not completely packed. Look, it’s not fancy, and the 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s solid, reliable, and genuinely comfortable without any pretense. If you’re the type who values a good night’s sleep and authentic neighborhood vibes over fancy amenities, this place delivers exactly what it promises.

  A very big flat in a quiet district (we were only 2) for a really good price (during October). Our host was very kind and welcomed us warmly. He gave us all the informations we need to discover the city and more (thank you for the tips you gave us for our next destination in Bosnia!). We had the chance to have a parking spot (the only one) for our car directly in the apartment block, but you can easily park for free in a street close to the apartment. Do not hesitate to ask to the host for more equipment (for cooking, as an exemple), he's really attentive! Equipment was functional and did the job.

  It's a quiet place, easy walk to tourist area & bus service to old town Dubrovnik. We walked 40mins to old town, collected a day pass to old town on the way at hotel levo & the day pass included a 24hr bus tix for return. There are local resturants & bars & markets a few minutes away. Also got to park the bike undercover-bonus!
