You know what strikes you first about Apartments Benussi? It’s how quiet this little street is, considering you’re actually walking distance from all the Dubrovnik madness. Miha Klaića 10 sounds like nothing special when you’re booking online, but honestly – this spot is kind of perfect if you want to avoid the tourist crush while still being close enough to everything that matters.
The apartment I stayed in had this lived-in feel that I actually loved. Not fancy-hotel pristine, but comfortable in that “someone’s Croatian grandmother would approve” way. The kitchen was properly equipped (I mean, you can actually cook here, not just reheat things), and the balcony – well, depending on which unit you get – gives you these glimpses of terracotta rooftops that remind you why you came to Croatia in the first place. The Wi-Fi worked fine, which honestly can’t be said for every place in the Old Town area. Parking was… well, let’s just say you’ll figure it out like everyone else does in Dubrovnik, but at least the owners actually help with that instead of just shrugging.
What really sold me on this place was how the hosts seemed to genuinely care about whether you had a good time. Not in that over-the-top way that makes you uncomfortable, but they’d casually mention that the bakery down the street opens at 7 AM, or that Wednesday evenings get a bit noisy because of the local football club meeting nearby. Small stuff that actually matters when you’re trying to sleep or find decent coffee. The 9.6 rating makes sense once you stay here – it’s not luxury, but it’s honest and well-run, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to Stradun without the constant stream of cruise ship groups walking past your window. The neighborhood has this authentic feel where you’ll see actual locals doing their shopping, not just tourists taking selfies every five meters.

It was clean and had all the necessities. There is a beautiful garden and you don’t even feel like you are in the city.
What could be improved: So many steps to the apartment but that is what you get if you want to stay in a sobe in Dubrovnik. Keeps you in shape for sure.
Jadranka was a wonderful hostess. We had arrived later than planned and she met us and still gave us all the info we needed, maps, recommendations, etc. Even a bottle of wine! The apartment is very close to the Pile Gate, maybe 5 min walk with several shops and restaurants along the way, plus the Tourist Information booth. The apartment was perfect size for us (couple) with a nice private patio and also a shared patio. Would be perfect for 2 groups or larger family if rented both apartments. The shower is tiny, but worked just fine for us. Beds were comfortable and nice to have the kitchenette.

The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the old town, so you’re close to everything without being surrounded by the noise. The yard is a lovely spot to enjoy a peaceful breakfast and start the day. The host was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
What could be improved: It’s perhaps a bit on the expensive side. Also, it would have been nice to have coffee, tea, available in the apartment. That said, the host was kind and gave me some coffee from her own supply when I asked, which I really appreciated.
Very comfortable accommodation close to Pile Gate. Our host Jadranka was very gracious and gave us great advice and tips for exploring beautiful Dubrovnik.
The patio was perfect for late afternoon glasses of wine. The view was spectacular.
What could be improved: No dislikes at all - everything was paerfect.

Small but very pleasant. Very good location close to the old town. Lovely terraced areas to sit and relax.
What could be improved: There’s only a hob for meal preparation. A microwave cooker would be helpful.

Everything was great from start to finish. Clear communication and support prior to arrival, we were even allowed to check in way earlier than we were supposed to which was nice. It was in a great location just outside the old town and had everything we needed for our stay, nice terrace as well with a beautiful view. Last but not least, great host, many thanks!
Jadranka was an exceptional host! She was very flexible with my check in time and she was very attentive.
The apartment was incredible. The terrace was beautiful both during the day and at night with views of the ocean. Location is within 5 mins of the old town. The apartment was very spacious and was well designed.
10/10 would love to come and stay again!
