Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Apartments Lovro? The address says Lozica, but honestly, most people won’t know that’s actually in the Lapad Peninsula area – which, if you ask me, is one of Dubrovnik’s best-kept secrets for staying outside the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re still close enough to everything that matters, but you can actually breathe here.

The apartments themselves are exactly what you’d want from a solid 3-star place, but with this refreshing lack of pretension. Lovro (I’m assuming that’s the owner’s name) has clearly put thought into the details that actually matter when you’re living somewhere for more than a night. The kitchenettes are properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer – and the wifi actually works consistently, which… well, anyone who’s traveled through the Balkans knows that’s not always a given. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a sterile hotel box. And here’s something I appreciated: the balconies face away from the main road, so you’re not dealing with that constant Dubrovnik traffic noise that can drive you crazy in the Old Town accommodations.

What really sets this place apart though is the location intelligence. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride to Pile Gate (the main entrance to the Old Town), but here’s the thing – you’re also walking distance to Lapad Beach, which locals actually use. During summer evenings, you can stroll down to the waterfront promenade where families are out with their kids and people are just… living normal lives. It’s this perfect reset after spending your days shoulder-to-shoulder with cruise ship crowds at the city walls. The 9.4 rating makes total sense when you think about it – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just thoughtfully done. Parking is available (crucial in Dubrovnik), the check-in process is straightforward, and there’s a Konzum supermarket nearby where you can grab breakfast supplies without paying Old Town prices. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back here each evening, which says something about a place.

  It is not to far from Old Town Dubrovnic.
  To far to walk, but an Uber gets you there for €12/15 and in 10 minutes.
  The owner was there to greet us when we arrived and explained everything.
  The appartement was not big, but enough for the 2 of us and and all the things we needed for a nice stay.
  
  What could be improved: Some complain about the "busy" road in the front and the back of the house.
  Sure, if you are sitting outside your hear it, but it is not to loud.
  As soon as you are inside, all the sounds are gone!
  So it did not bother us at all!

  As it was at the end of the season (Oct/Nov), the lovely hosts did not have many guests occupying the apartments and therefore, we were pleasantly surprised to get an apartment with a nicer view than booked. The hosts were very lovely and sat down and went through the map with us on what to do and where to catch public transit. The apartment itself was stunning, and had everything you needed including a washing machine! As animal people, my boyfriend and I were very happy to be visited by a cute cat every night.
  
  What could be improved: My only recommendation for anyone staying here is establish transportation. We assumed that because the apartment was only 1hr from the bus station/port, that we would be able to walk to the apartment and boycott spending money on taxi/uber, however, the walk was awful. It was uphill, and alongside busy roads that do not have sidewalks.
  
  Only other amenity that would have been greatly appreciated would have been a coffee maker, as the closest store was a 40 minute walk away and other than that you had to bus into town to a cafe for coffee every day.

  The host was waiting outside to greet us. He gave us the keys and some suggestions. The place itself exceeded my expectations in every way possible. There is a cat that lives right outside and watched the sunrise with us everyday. You have the most perfect sea view, u can even see it from bed. Very modern and cozy.
  
  What could be improved: It was about a 10 minute uber ride (9-11 euros) to the old town. So worth it for the price and peace and quite though.

  We had an exceptional stay at this property in Dubrovnik.. The space was immaculate, modern, and equipped with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was perfect, offering stunning views of Adriatic sea and easy access to everything we wanted to explore in the city. The host was incredibly helpful and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. We truly loved our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dubrovnik!
