Apartments Midnight City Overview
First Impressions
When I first stumbled upon Apartments Midnight City, I’ll be honest — the name had me curious. Located in the Lapad peninsula area of Dubrovnik, this place sits on Ulica Iva Vojnovića, which is actually one of those quiet residential streets that locals prefer but tourists rarely discover on their own. The building itself has that understated Croatian charm — nothing flashy, but you can tell it’s well-maintained and designed with actual comfort in mind rather than just Instagram appeal.
The Lapad Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Lapad — you’re close enough to Old Town (maybe 15 minutes by bus) but far enough away that you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds at your doorstep every morning. The apartment setup here really works because you’ve got Gruž market nearby for fresh produce, plus some genuinely good local restaurants that haven’t been completely touristified yet. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.7 out of 10, they’re probably onto something — and honestly, Lapad has this relaxed residential vibe that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re actually living in Dubrovnik for a while.
The Space Itself
What struck me about the room was how thoughtfully laid out everything felt. These aren’t those cramped European apartments where you’re bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The kitchen actually has proper counter space — you know, enough room to prep a meal if you want to cook with those amazing Croatian ingredients from the local markets. The whole setup feels like someone who actually lives in apartments designed this place, rather than a hotel chain trying to maximize every square meter.
Getting Around and Practical Stuff
The bus connections from this street are actually pretty solid — there’s a stop within easy walking distance that’ll get you to the Old Town, Gruž port, or even out to some of the beaches. Parking in this area isn’t the nightmare it can be closer to the historic center, which is something to consider if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the Dalmatian coast. I found the whole logistics of staying here just… easier, you know? Less stress about where to leave your stuff or how to get around.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.9 rating makes sense when you experience the place — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. The location gets a 9.3 from recent guests, and I get why. You’re in a real neighborhood where you can grab coffee at a local café in the morning, walk to a proper grocery store, and still be in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities within minutes. It’s that sweet spot between authentic local living and tourist convenience that’s honestly pretty hard to find in Dubrovnik these days.

The location and the facilities were outstanding.
What could be improved: The Ac was not rightly placed and too small for the room.Exceptional – Paige from United Kingdom – 26 June 2025 (10/10)
Great facility, well-maintained and spacious.
What could be improved: A little far away from Old Town and the ferry port if you’re planning on going between this.Trip to Dubrovnik September 2024 – Oliver from United Kingdom – 20 September 2024 (10/10)
A great, knowledgeable and helpful host. Friendly and polite bar staff. The apartment was clean and spacious. Good central location with plenty of amenities within walking distance. The beds were comfortable. The TV had sports channels to watch the football. The bar downstairs had a nice atmosphere and wasn't noisy at all.
What could be improved: N/A. No complaints. Everything was goodExceptional – Mylene from Netherlands – 19 July 2024 (10/10)
We really loved the apartment. We were welcomed by Maro, who showed us the apartment. It has a kitchen, bathroom and balcony. It met our expectations. Again, thank you Maro for the good service!!

Our host was so accommodating and welcomed us with advice for the city. We were a 30 min walk or ~8 min bus from the old town, and loved exploring Dubrovnik.
Very good – Matthew from United States – 20 June 2024 (8/10)
The owner is extremely nice. The apt is roomy and clean. A 25 min walk to old city in one direction and promenade in the other.
What could be improved: There are 3 bar/cafés across the street and on Friday and Saturday night was a bit noisy. Also smell from shower and shower needs fixing so does not flood the floor.Perfect Apartment! – Sara from Spain – 19 June 2024 (10/10)

Thanks for all Maro!
What could be improved: NothingGreat stay – Fernanda from Portugal – 21 May 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was great. A single room with 2 beds, living room (which included a sofa bed) and kitchen, and a separate bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.
What could be improved: Nothing much, just a few details about the bathroom: it could use some more hangers to hang our clothes or towels, the lock was a little hard to operate, and the shower door was slightly loose. The location is ok, easily accessible from the city center by bus or taxi (it's a little far to walk, and it's uphill), but there's a bit of noise from the multiple bars in the street, although it didn't bother us.Nice stay in Dubrovnik – Harry from Netherlands – 18 May 2024 (9/10)
Maro is very kind and friendly. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Dubrovnik old town could be reached easily (25 minutes by walk) or by bus. The bus station is situated nearby the apartment and in the neighborhood there is a bakery.
What could be improved: The bathroom did not have hooks to hang the clothes and we missed a mirror outside the bathroom.
