Hotel Description
So I’ve stayed at Apartments Palma Ragusa a few times now, and honestly, it’s become my go-to spot in Dubrovnik – which is saying something considering how picky I am about accommodations. The place sits on Vicina ulica, this quiet little street that’s tucked away from the main tourist chaos but still puts you right in the heart of things. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Stradun (that’s the main marble street through Old Town, if you haven’t been), but you actually get to sleep at night without hearing drunk British tourists stumbling around at 2 AM.
What really got me about this place was the attention to detail – and I’m not talking about fancy marble countertops or whatever. It’s the small stuff that shows someone actually cares. The apartments are properly soundproofed (trust me, this matters in Dubrovnik’s stone-walled buildings), the air conditioning actually works during those brutal July heat waves, and the kitchenettes are equipped with everything you’d actually need, not just the bare minimum. The owner, Marko, genuinely knows the city inside and out – he once told me about this tiny bakery on Od Sigurate where locals grab their morning coffee, and it ended up being one of my favorite discoveries. You know what else? The Wi-Fi is solid throughout, which might sound basic but you’d be surprised how many places in the Old Town have spotty internet.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Dubrovnik like someone who lives there, not just Instagram it. You’re close enough to duck into your apartment when the cruise ship crowds descend around noon (seriously, plan your sightseeing for early morning or late afternoon), but far enough from Pile Gate that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups. There’s a small grocery store about two blocks away on Prijeko street, and if you’re into seafood, the fish market near the harbor is maybe a five-minute walk – I’d hit it up around 7 AM for the best selection. The only minor thing is that the street can be a bit tricky to find on your first visit (Google Maps gets confused with some of the narrow alleys), but once you know where it is, you’ll appreciate being tucked away from the main drags. Parking isn’t right outside – you’ll need to use the public garage near the Ploče Gate, about a ten-minute walk – but honestly, that’s pretty standard for anywhere decent in the Old Town.

It was very close to Dubrovnik walls, old town, center, restaurants, super market, beach…. We, most of the time used the large balcony with some view of ocean and sunset, Room and living room are good for 2 or max. 3 people. Host is very cooperative.
You have to know that Dubrovnik has lots of hills, steps, slopes, ups & down the hills. It would be great to travel light. We enjoyed the tours of Dubrovinik walls and game of throne. If you buy Dubrovinik pass 24 hours for 35 euro it will cover Walls, some of Musum, some buses, 2nd part of Game of throne tour that cost extra of 15 euro+actual tour that cost 25 euro. We got couple of walking tours and also free walking tour (tip base). The 3 islands tour can buy for 20 euro not include lunch & drink. This restaurant, I believe name was “Colosume “ by step of “walk of shame” has grill fresh whole fish 24 euro, very delicious. Orange, pomegranates, and grape trees are amazing.Excellent apartment ideal for a short stay in Dubrovnik and very well situated. – Clare from United Kingdom – 1 September 2024 (9/10)
