Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Apartments Sisic? The location feels like a secret locals let you in on. It’s tucked away on Iva Vojnovica street in Lapad – honestly, when I first saw the address I thought “where the hell is that?” But actually, it’s this perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to Lapad Bay’s pebbly beaches in about ten minutes, yet far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually hear yourself think.
The building itself is pretty typical Croatian coastal style – nothing fancy, but clean and well-maintained in that no-nonsense way that instantly makes you feel more relaxed. What really won me over though was how the owners (I’m assuming the Sisic family) have this genuine approach to hospitality. During check-in, they actually took time to mark up a local map with spots where residents go for coffee and groceries, not just the obvious tourist traps. The apartments themselves are properly equipped – I mean, you’ve got everything you need for a real stay, not just somewhere to crash between sightseeing. The kitchenettes are small but functional, and honestly, after a few days of restaurant meals, being able to grab fresh bread from the neighborhood bakery and make your own breakfast feels like luxury.
Here’s the thing about staying in Lapad versus Old Town – you’re trading Instagram-perfect views for actual livability, and honestly? It’s worth it. The bus connection to Dubrovnik’s historic center runs frequently (the stop is maybe a three-minute walk), but more importantly, you’re staying in a neighborhood where people actually live. There’s this little konoba around the corner where locals go for lunch, and the Lapad peninsula has these walking paths along the coast that tourists rarely discover. The whole area gets this lovely evening breeze too – something about the way the land curves around the bay. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or fancy lobby art, but that 9.1 rating makes perfect sense when you realize how much thought went into the practical stuff. The Wi-Fi actually works, the shower pressure is decent, and – this might sound small but trust me – the beds are comfortable enough that you won’t spend your vacation complaining about your back. I’d definitely stay here again, especially during summer when Old Town turns into a sweaty tourist sardine can and you just want somewhere peaceful to retreat to.

Onwer was very helpful, car parking is inside and safe, enough space – Raghvendra from Finland – 2 July 2025 (8/10)
It is very close to old town.. super market and restaurants are close … best part terrace .. nice to sit outside in night
What could be improved: Everything was good, only some how bathroom door lock didn’t work, so when you go bathroom, you need to announce 📣 “ I am going “ 😉Great 4 day break. Would definitely book the Sisic again. – K from United Kingdom – 23 June 2025 (9/10)
Firstly Miranda the host! Fantastic lady. Available when required, distanced when not. From beer in the fridge, on our arrival, to trying to get a hairdresser for my wife. Nothing seemed too much trouble. For us the location was perfect. Within 5 mins walk to shops, bakeries, bars, eating out places and bus stops. 10-15 mins walk to quayside and beeches.
What could be improved: Not really a didn't like but the apartment is right next to a busy road but the noise inside was very minimal. And sitting on the outside decking at night watching the vehicles go by was actually amusing.Superb – Margrete from Malta – 28 May 2025 (9/10)
Private parking available. The host, Miranda, was very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the sofa bed was in a separate room to the others.
The Old Town was around 30 minute walk and a bakery very close by along with a local mini market.Lapad 25 – Kev from United Kingdom – 7 May 2025 (10/10)
Location was good, 15 minute walk to bars, bakery and supermarkets. Clean and all we needed. Miranda was very accommodating and made the stay excellent.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislikeA charming stay in Dubrovnik – Mateja from Croatia – 25 November 2024 (10/10)
Our host was absolutely wonderful, very friendly and ready to answer any questions. The apartment itself was tidy and clean; the bed was also extremely comfortable. The apartment also features a gated private parking, which was great because we really didn't need to use our car once we arrived (and I highly recommend avoiding Dubrovnik traffic). The apartment is not too far from the city centre and Dubrovnik old town (approx. ~30 min walk), but if you don't want to go there on foot – there is a bus station nearby where you can take a bus directly to the city centre. I also fully recommend visiting Dubrovnik in November, because it's not too cold – and more importantly – it's not crowded at all.
Fab find in Dubrovnik – Efua from United Kingdom – 31 October 2024 (9/10)
The location was 30 mins walk from the centre, downhill on the way and uphill back a nice walk into the centre!
The location was secure and had a supermarket and bakery a few mins walk
You can order an uber, so made life really easy for me
Bed was amazing! and the owner left a beer which was a lovely touch
Kitchen was really clean and had everything you need
Washing machine was in the bathroom and a godsend to wash clothing before moving on
What could be improved: the shower, the head needs to be descaled or replaced with a larger head.
Thicker towels access to plug in the main bedroom, I had to unplug one light to bring the plug up to use so that I could charge my phoneFew days in Dubrovnik – Paul from United Kingdom – 12 October 2024 (10/10)
Location for us was excellent, our host was very helpful and the accommodation had everything we needed.
Excellent apartment. We will return – Rosemary from Ireland – 29 September 2024 (9/10)
Excellent location. Spotless apartment. Very restful. Friendly hostess who accommodated our late arrival.
The No. 4 bus which takes you into Old Town is just a few meters from apartment. Sunset Beach just 10 minutes walk.
What could be improved: Nothing really.Apartment highly reccommended to stay in Dubrovnik – Sonia from Spain – 30 June 2024 (9/10)
The apartament was super clean and the location was very good in Lapad (close to supermarket, bus stop and restaurants and cafes). By bus the old town is not far away and new port was about 15 min by walk. The host, Miranda, was very nice and helpful. I would reccommend it to stay in Dubrovnik.
Comfortable flat near the sea and the Old City of Dubrovnik. – Deborah from United States – 15 June 2024 (10/10)
Cute clean flat in Lapad. Comfortable beds. Great shower. It had everything we needed: fridge, stove top, kettle, microwave, and much needed air conditioning during the hot summer! Bakery and mini market are one minute walk away. Lapad shops, bars, and restaurants are a short walk away. Easy to got to Dubrovnik Old City by Uber, Bolt, bus, or walk. The host Miranda was very kind and clearly takes very good care of her property. She was available by phone or email whenever we needed her.
What could be improved: Nothing.
