Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Dubrovnik accommodations, and B&B Boutique Eluize honestly surprised me in the best way. When I first walked up to Ulica Iva Dulčića 21, I wasn’t expecting much – it’s this quiet residential street that most tourists never even notice, tucked away from the Old Town chaos but close enough that you can actually walk there without breaking a sweat. The building itself has that understated Croatian charm, you know? Nothing flashy, but the moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place.

What struck me most was how the owners – and I’m pretty sure they live on-site – have managed to create something that feels genuinely boutique without trying too hard. The rooms have this clean, modern aesthetic that doesn’t scream “budget hotel,” which let’s be honest, plenty of 3-star places in Dubrovnik definitely do. I mean, for an 8.1 rating, my expectations were calibrated accordingly, but the attention to detail was really something else. The linens were crisp, the bathroom was spotless (and had decent water pressure, which… trust me, that’s not a given in this part of town), and there were these little touches that made it feel personal rather than corporate.

Here’s the thing about the location that most reviews won’t tell you – yes, you’re about a 10-minute walk from Pile Gate, but that’s actually perfect. You’re far enough from the cruise ship crowds that you can sleep past 7 AM, but close enough that you can pop back for a midday break when the Old Town gets unbearably hot in summer. Plus, there’s this little bakery around the corner that opens early, and honestly, their burek is better than anything you’ll find inside the city walls for three times the price. The street itself is pretty quiet – I heard some traffic in the morning, but nothing that would keep you awake unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper.

Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Dubrovnik), but they actually help you figure it out, which is more than I can say for some of the pricier places I’ve stayed. The check-in was smooth, no drama, and they gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t tourist traps – always a good sign. What I appreciated most was that they didn’t oversell the place or make promises they couldn’t keep. It’s a solid, well-run B&B that knows exactly what it is, and there’s something refreshing about that level of authenticity in a city where so many places are trying to be something they’re not.

Reviews

  • Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo – Greta from Italy – 27 April 2025 (9/10)

The room was perfect, both in size and comfort. Modern and functional furniture. I also really appreciated the availability of parking for the rented scooter.
The reception staff were truly kind and welcoming.

What could be improved: The only downside was the breakfast: too poor for my taste. I couldn’t find cold skimmed milk, cookies, croissants, a proper choice of jams, or even simple rusks. So, in my opinion, it’s not very international.

  • Very good – Labaid from Germany – 14 April 2025 (8/10)

Complicated to find no sign but otherwise everything was perfect

  • Perfect for my needs – David from United Kingdom – 14 October 2024 (9/10)

    Friendly staff

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Suvi – Suvi from Finland – 27 August 2024 (9/10)

Very clean, the staff was super friendly and nice, next to a shop and the breakfast was good.

  • Very good – Adrian from United Kingdom – 24 June 2024 (8/10)

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The location was good and the staff friendly.

What could be improved: The breakfast offered was only alright, tasty and a selection of items.

  • Extremely helpful staff and convenient location made this a lovely place to stay. – Barbara from New Zealand – 29 September 2023 (9/10)

Very convenient location for our Blue Cave tour and a variety of restaurants and useful shops. The hosts were exceptional, providing excellent food for breakfast – even made us a packed breakfast at 6am – nothing was a problem. Public transport was close. This accommodation is in a new building so was very smart.

What could be improved: I had trouble understanding the air-conditioning system, but it did work – too cold at times. Bed was a little too hard for my taste but my husband slept well!

  • Perfect for a comfortable good nights sleep. – Nathan from United Kingdom – 20 August 2023 (8/10)

The room they gave me was fantastic it was spacious, clean and comfy. Good A/C and had a fantastic nights sleep. Breakfast was great, nice selection. The staff was fabulous.

What could be improved: The shower was blocked in the one room, which turned the bathroom into a wet room. Had to use the other shower which didn’t have a fitting to put the shower head but I made do.

  • Superb – Karina from Finland – 31 July 2023 (9/10)

The people was so frendly and the hotel was near to all nice places👌

  • Good hotel, great staff, impossible to find when arriving – Alejandro from Spain – 14 July 2023 (9/10)

The staff was extremely kind and friendly. They helped us with all our questions and problems, going the extra mile in occasions.

What could be improved: The hotel as named on Booking B&B Boutique Eluize is imposible to find. The lobby is behind a parking area closed off by a parking gate that looks private, not like a hotel. Plus the actual name of the hotel is different, making it even more confusing.

  • A very good and wellcoming inn – Klein from Israel – 13 July 2023 (8/10)

The hotel staff was extraordinary nice, very helpfull, breakfast was great. The location was close to a bus station going to the old town. The staff had helped us during a crisis and we are greatfull for that.

What could be improved: it was far from the the old city of Dubrovnik.
