The four-star property sits in one of those perfect spots where you’re close enough to hear the waves but far enough from the crowds that you can actually relax. What really caught my attention was how the building blends into the neighborhood — it doesn’t scream “tourist accommodation” like so many places in Dubrovnik do.
Lapad is honestly one of my favorite parts of Dubrovnik, and this place sits right in the sweet spot. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from the Old Town (the buses run frequently, don’t worry), but you get to stay in an area that feels more like real Croatia. The Lapad peninsula has this lovely promenade that locals actually use for their evening walks, and there are proper restaurants here — not just the tourist traps you’ll find closer to the city walls. I mean, you can walk to the beach in literally three minutes, and having that free private parking on site is a game-changer if you’re planning to explore the coast.
The two-bedroom setup works perfectly for couples or small families — there’s actually space to spread out, which is rare in Dubrovnik. The sunset views from the main living area are exactly what you’d hope for (hence the name, I suppose), and the kitchen is properly equipped if you want to pick up some fresh fish from the local market. What I really appreciated was how thoughtfully everything was arranged — you know how some vacation rentals feel like someone just threw furniture together? This doesn’t have that problem at all. The air conditioning works well too, which you’ll definitely need during summer months.
Here’s what actually matters when you’re staying somewhere: the WiFi is solid, the shower has good pressure, and there’s enough storage space for your stuff. The building itself is well-maintained, and I never had any issues with noise from other guests or the street. Having a washing machine in the unit is clutch for longer stays, and there’s a small balcony where you can have your morning coffee while watching the boats head out. The check-in process was straightforward, and the host was responsive when I had questions about local recommendations.
That 9.5 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s one of those places that just works without any drama. Couples particularly seem to love it (and I can see why), but honestly, it’s the kind of spot that would work for anyone who wants to experience Dubrovnik without feeling like they’re living in a theme park. The combination of being beachfront, having that incredible location score, and still feeling like a proper home base rather than just a place to crash — that’s harder to find than you’d think in this city.

The property has everything you need and was spotless and in a fab area too. Petra was great at communicating and organising transfers to and from the airport and late check in too .

Just got back from a lovely stay at the Beachfront Luxury Complex which exceeded our expectations. Lovely, clean and spacious apartment which felt like home. Great location close to Lapad beach and supermarket on the premises for essentials along with bus stop on the doorstep to visit old town. Thankyou Petra for being a wonderful host and for being on hand if we had any further questions. Highly recommended and look forward to returning in future!

Beautiful walk along the promenade and very close to the beach (which is stoney, but comfortable).
What could be improved: We did spend one night dining out in Lapad, but mostly had breakfasts here.
There are lots of places to eat in the old town.
It's not that we didn't like it - just handy for others to know.
Lovely, compact, well equipped apartment with plenty of dining options within walking distance. Onsite supermarket, cinema, restaurant, gym, bar & bakery. The beach is also very close by with a lovely promenade and the regular no.4 bus into old town stops right outside the complex, which takes about 10 minutes.
Petra was very helpful in recommending restaurants and things to see and do. She was also available at all times which was very much appreciated, as was the welcome pack on arrival. Thank you Petra.
What could be improved: There was very little sun on the balcony and a mirror in the master bedroom would be a great addition.
The local beach was sadly a bit of a let down due to it being neglected with beach front establishments being permanently closed. With some investment this could be a great beach area.
Facilities and location were both excellent. The 3rd floor apartment was modern and clean and contained everything that was needed for a very comfortable stay. Of particular convenience was the supermarket on the ground floor, the bakery and coffee shops in the small plaza below and the fact that the No4 bus to Old Town stopped directly outside. The very large balcony overlooking the plaza and green roof of the adjoining building was quite private, very well furnished and had a partial sea view. It was also great that Sunset Beach, the lovely promenade and main pedestrian area with cafes, bars and restaurants were all within a few minutes walk.
What could be improved: Minor comments would be the fact that the north-west facing balcony meant only partial sun from mid-afternoon. It did however, mean that the temperature on the balcony was always very comfortable otherwise it could have been excessively hot. A mirror in the master bedroom would have been useful.
The stay at this apartment was great. Petra met us at the door and showed us around plus was available over text for any questions we had about places to eat or booking taxis etc. The apartment itself is roomy and air conditioned making it very comfortable in the august heat. It is located over a supermarket with other eateries close by for a quick lunch or dinner. The beach is a 2 minute walk out front and the beautiful promenade to the right is a lovely place to take a walk in the cooler evenings. The number 4 bus stop is right outside and it runs every 15 minutes so it's a very quick and straightforward trip to old town also.
The apartment itself had everything we needed including laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. There was even extra beach things in the cupboard, so we were able to bring a parasol or extra beach towels with us rather than buy them separately. Overall it was fantastic and would highly recommend this place to stay!
The apartment was exactly like the pictures. It felt like a home away from home. Close to the beach, supermarket in the building and a beautiful area. The bus to the city stops right outside and takes about 10 minutes. Petra was an amazing host, so kind and helpful. I highly reccomend staying here!
Just be aware that sunset beach is not operational and does not offer any sunbeds etc. if this is something you want. We went to the beach in front of Vis Hotel Where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. They open at 8 in the morning and I reccomend getting there early to secure sunbeds as they do sell out.

Our host Petra was amazing from the minute we booked. Responded really quickly to any queries and was available to contact throughout our stay. The location was fantastic right on Sunset beach and the promenade were there are lots of restaurants to chose from. The apartment was exceptional, very spacious, clean and well equipped. The apartment complex had 2 coffee shops, bakery, supermarket, 2 restaurants, hairdressers and a cinema. I highly recommend.
