You know what struck me first about this place? The moment I walked into the Beautiful L&N Studio, I actually felt like I was staying at a friend’s perfectly curated apartment rather than some sterile hotel room. It’s tucked away in Lapad – and honestly, if you’re not familiar with Dubrovnik, Lapad is where you want to be if you’re planning to spend more than a day or two here.

The studio itself is one of those spaces that just works, you know? Everything feels intentional but not fussy. The kitchen area is actually functional (I mean, you can cook a real meal here, not just heat up instant noodles), and there’s this lovely natural light that pours in during the morning hours. The bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night – which, let’s be honest, happens more often than it should when traveling. What really won me over though was the attention to small details… good coffee setup, decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and enough storage space that I wasn’t living out of my suitcase for the entire stay.

Location-wise, Lapad is sort of Dubrovnik’s best-kept secret for travelers who want to experience the city without being constantly surrounded by cruise ship crowds. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from the Old Town (the buses run frequently, and locals are pretty helpful if you look confused), but you’re also walking distance to some genuinely lovely beaches and that gorgeous tree-lined promenade where locals actually hang out. There’s a decent grocery store just a few minutes away, plus some solid restaurants that don’t scream “tourist trap.” The area gets pleasantly quiet in the evenings – I could actually sleep with the windows open, which is rare in most European cities during summer. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season, but the hosts seem to have figured out some local tricks they’re happy to share. The 8.8 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises with a level of thoughtfulness that’s honestly refreshing. If you’re the type of traveler who appreciates having your own space to decompress after long days of sightseeing, and you want to experience Dubrovnik like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through, this studio hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  The beautiful recently renovated apartment became our home away from home. We had to stay in Dubrovnik due to unforeseen circumstances and we rented the apartment because it was close to all points of interest. The view is stunning and we couldn't have enjoyed this more. As for the apartment, all spaces have been designed considering comfortability and functionality. All appliances are brand new and if you are a couple or
  of a family of 3, it is definitely a comfy space. Old town, the port and the walking trails are each 20 min away. Lastly, the owners are kind and honest and truly wonderful. They helped us to get settled in and were great at answering any questions we had. We were lucky to have found this little gem of a place.

  Výborný apartmán poblíž skvělé pláže. Trošku dál od hradeb starého města (1/2-3/4 hodiny) a od dalších obchodů. Pro běžné nákupy byla přímo v sousedním baráku dobře vybavená samoobsluha.
  Apartmán byl dobře vybavený, s pěkným výhledem, orientovaný tak, že v něm bylo příjemně i bez použití klimatizace (tu bylo potřeba pouštět jen při opravdu velkém vedru). Internet pracoval bez problémů. Televizi bylo nutné trochu štelovat (anténa na skříni vypadala jako odložená, chvíli trvalo, než jsme přišli na to, že je to právě ona), ale pro televizi jsme tam nebyli.
