Hotel Description

So I stumbled across Bed&Breakfast Andio while wandering through Old Town Dubrovnik, and honestly? It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The building sits right on Kunićeva Street – you know, one of those narrow stone lanes that most tourists rush past on their way to the main attractions. But that’s actually perfect because you’re literally steps from everything yet tucked away from the cruise ship crowds that flood Stradun every morning.

The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense of… I don’t know how to put it… authenticity? The owners clearly live and breathe this place. They’ve managed to blend that old Dubrovnik stone-and-timber feel with genuinely comfortable modern touches. My room had these thick walls that kept everything blissfully quiet at night – which, trust me, is not a given in Old Town where sound bounces off those limestone streets like a pinball machine. The breakfast spread was honestly better than some fancy hotels I’ve stayed at, and they serve it in this lovely little courtyard where you can actually hear birds instead of tour guides with megaphones.

What really won me over was how the staff – well, I think they’re family members, actually – knew their stuff about the city. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but like… they told me the best time to walk the walls (early morning, before 8 AM, when the light hits just right), and pointed me toward this tiny konoba tucked behind the cathedral that I never would’ve found otherwise. The location is pretty much perfect if you want to experience Dubrovnik like a local rather than just checking boxes. You’re a two-minute walk from the Rector’s Palace, but you can also slip down to the old port area through these side streets that feel like secret passages. Parking is… well, it’s Dubrovnik, so forget about driving into Old Town anyway. But they’ll help you figure out the logistics, and honestly, once you’re inside those walls, you won’t want to leave. The whole experience just feels more personal than those big chain places outside the city walls – this is the kind of spot where you’ll actually want to linger over breakfast and ask for restaurant recommendations instead of rushing out to hit the sights.

  • Fay from United Kingdom – 17 May 2025 (9/10)

Great location, clean and modern room but still in keeping with old town feel

What could be improved: A very slight smell in the bathroom – so minor id barely bother mentioning!

  • Scott from United States – 16 May 2025 (9/10)

The location was great! Right off the Stradum. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the B&B. It's a great value. It's not fancy – but very accommodating. If you are on a bit of a budget, book early and you'll get a great rate. I'd return to stay there again.

What could be improved: The breakfast at "The Festival" restaurant down the street was not great. It's better to grab a coffee and danish from the bakery across the street! It's wonderful and less expensive. The only caviat, is that visitors should know that the stairs up to the rooms are steep. Elderly guests should ask for a 1st floor room.

  • Carrie from United States – 15 May 2025 (9/10)

Old town location was lovely, and everything was clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: Too many steps to get to the Annex. We just didn’t realize there wasn’t a lift, pand we had too much luggage.

  • Biswajit from India – 12 May 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful well decorated and maintained hotel. The location is just in the heart of the old town. The hotel stuff was really friendly and helpful.

Location was fab. Really friendly and happy to help staff. Good aircon.
Honesty box is a nice touch, we didn’t use it but it could be handy.

What could be improved: I loved Dubrovnik but it has stairs. Lots of them, and this hotel has quite a few too. No wonder local people are so fit!
I thought room was noisy but then shut the window and it’s actually quite quiet!! (Silly me!!)
