You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from BeLinda sea view when I first pulled up to Ulica Alberta Hallera – honestly, the name sounds a bit like someone’s aunt decided to open a B&B. But this little 3-star gem in Lapad completely won me over, and I get why it’s sitting at a 9.3 rating.

The thing about staying in Lapad is that you’re actually living like locals do, away from the cruise ship crowds that swarm Old Town during the day. BeLinda sits on this quiet residential street where you’ll hear Croatian families chatting on their balconies in the evening instead of tour guides with megaphones. The sea view rooms – and honestly, spring for one if you can – look out over this gorgeous stretch of coastline that most tourists never even know exists. I mean, everyone’s fighting for photos on the city walls while you’re watching the sunset paint the Adriatic from your window with a glass of wine. The Lapad peninsula has this relaxed, almost sleepy vibe that feels like the Croatia people actually live in.

What struck me most was how the staff just… cared? Like, they remembered I take my coffee black after day two, and when I mentioned wanting to find a good konoba (that’s a traditional tavern, by the way), they didn’t just point me toward the touristy spots. They sent me to this family-run place about ten minutes walk away where I had the best peka of my life – slow-cooked lamb that locals have been making the same way for generations. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable without being fancy, which honestly felt perfect after long days exploring. Sure, the WiFi can be spotty sometimes, and you’ll hear the occasional bus rumbling by, but there’s something authentic about staying somewhere that doesn’t feel like a sterile hotel chain. The walk to Old Town takes about 20 minutes along the coast, or you can catch bus number 6 right from the corner – though I actually preferred the walk because you pass through these neighborhoods where laundry flutters from windows and old men play cards at sidewalk cafes. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself lingering on the small balcony (most rooms have them) just watching life happen below, maybe planning tomorrow’s adventure to the nearby Elafiti Islands or just debating whether to grab dinner at that little pizzeria down the street where they know how to make a proper Margherita.

  The location was lovely and walkable distance from shops, old town and beaches. The hosts were so lovely and accommodating. They were super sweet and were very informational. The facilities were great. Would highly recommend staying there.

  The apartment is very neat. And the view from the window is awesome. About 25 mins walk to the old town. There's a nearby beach, reaturants around, grocery and bakery shop.

  The apartment is very well located, clean and well equipped. Everything you need is available. Very close to the bus stop, pharmacy and grocery stores. The owner is very kind and helpful.

  I liked that it was clean and quite big for three adults that didn't stay in the room for long. Almost all the appliances. It had nice sea view. Also it was near the bus stop and close to the old town. The host was great very caring.
  
  What could be improved: I didn't like that it didn't had any shampoo or shower gel and only soap for the hands. But when I asked for hand soap that finished and a hairdryer they brought us.

  Really cool apartment, reasonably priced, clean, all the kitchenware needed, AC working very well, got a TV as well, the sea view is awesome and is really close to the Bellevue beach (5 minutes), and to the old town (20 minutes). The host is very helpful, they helped us plan our itinerary in Dubrovnik. It was a great apartment that exceeded my expectations.

  Провели наш Тиждень у Дубровнику в цих апартаментах. 7 хвилин до найближчого пляжу, 25-30 хвилин до старого міста, неквапливим ходом. Поряд гарні ресторани. Були разом з дитиною. Є окремі спальні місця, які були підготовані заздалегідь. В апартаментах чисто та є все необхідне для приготування їжі та прибирання, фен та праска, рушники. Господар супроводжував всю поїздку, швидко відповідав на питання та пропонував допомогу в усьому.
