You know what struck me first about this place? The name “Best4You” sounds pretty generic, honestly – I almost scrolled past it when I was booking. But man, I’m glad I didn’t because this apartment completely exceeded my expectations, and that sea view… well, it’s the kind that makes you forget to check your phone for hours.

The location on Ulica kardinala Stepinca is actually perfect if you know Dubrovnik at all. You’re far enough from the Old Town chaos (trust me, you’ll appreciate this during peak summer when the cruise ships dump thousands of tourists there daily), but close enough that a quick bus ride or even a decent walk gets you to the city walls. The apartment itself is genuinely spacious – 70 square meters doesn’t sound huge on paper, but it feels airy and well-designed. I mean, you’ve got two proper bedrooms, which is rare in Dubrovnik unless you’re paying resort prices. The kitchen’s actually functional too, not just some tiny kitchenette where you can barely boil water. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings while staring out at the Adriatic – there’s something about having your coffee with that view that just sets the whole day right.

What really won me over though was the attention to detail. The place is clean without feeling sterile, and you can tell someone actually cares about guests’ experience rather than just cramming in bookings. The host was super responsive when I had questions about parking (which, by the way, isn’t a nightmare here like it is closer to the center). The neighborhood itself is pretty residential, so evenings are quiet – you’ll hear the occasional car but nothing like the late-night bar crowds you get near Stradun. Actually, some of the best local restaurants are within walking distance, the kind of family-run places where tourists don’t usually venture. I stumbled onto this incredible seafood spot just two blocks down that probably doesn’t even have an English menu, but the owner’s son translated everything and it was honestly better than anything I had in the touristy areas. That 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s one of those places that just works, you know? Everything from the Wi-Fi to the shower pressure to the air conditioning actually functions properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess up the fundamentals. If you’re planning to visit Dubrovnik and want somewhere that feels like a real home base rather than just a place to crash between sightseeing, this is it.

  Lots of places to shop locally and to eat out. Easy to catch buses to visit Old Town. All explained in a thorough handbook given to us by Petar.
  Beautiful views and walks locally. Excursions easy to book to nearby Bosnia and Montenegro.

  Petar welcomed us with a bottle of wine and fruits. It was very nice of him. The apartment is huge, has a beautiful loggia and a good location. The views are breathtaking. The nearest beach is nice, no pebbles in the sea. One can comfortably stay in the water. Could be pretty narrow in the season pick. It is not far from the port and there is a market where we bought fresh fish and vegetables from farmers. Everything natural with a divine taste like in the childhood. We had our stay in June and had one of the best moments in our lives.

  Petar was very helpful and offered good communication with us prior to arrival.
  The location of the apartment is excellent for the nearby beach, promenade and restaurant areas (if you don't mind the 186 steps up and down that is). The area is lovely and a bit quieter from the crowds of central Dubrovnik.
  There is also a bus stop right outside. Uber services also good from here (15 mins to the Old Town, 7€)
  Apartment very clean, spacious and well appointed. We could have happily stayed here for longer than 3 nights. I'm sure we'll be back again!
  
  What could be improved: Only small things to comment on really. The doors to the balcony were difficult to lock, which would probably be solved with some oil in the mechanism!
  There wasn't an A/C unit in the main bedroom (but there was in the twin bedroom, and main lounge). A standing fan in the main bedroom would have been useful as it got quite stuffy in there at night.

  Spacious apartment in great location, walk down the stairs to the beach and restaurants/cafes and short walk to supermarket. Lovely terrace and nice to have aircon in living room and bedroom. Good wifi. Petar was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay – helped us check in very late in the evening and arranged transport from the airport.

  The place have a nice view and is very close to sunset beach (just some steps down), which is a nice beach! The apartment is very spacious and has everything to cook. The owner receives us very well, show the appartment and gave some tips. Moreover, he left a bottle of wine as welcome. He was very nice!
