Good communication, easy to get keys
What could be improved: Would be nice if we had of been aware of lots of very steep stairs.

First Impressions
Walking up to Casa Arancia on Palmotićeva street, you immediately know you’ve found something special. This four-star gem sits right in the thick of Dubrovnik’s Old Town — I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that matters. The building itself has that weathered limestone charm that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored family home rather than just another tourist hotel.
The Heart of Old Town
Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable. You can roll out of bed and be at Stradun in about two minutes, which is perfect for those early morning walks before the cruise ship crowds arrive. What I really appreciate is how couples seem to get it — they consistently rate this spot a 9.0, and after spending time here, I totally understand why. You’re close enough to duck back to your room for a midday break when the summer heat gets intense, but far enough from the main drag that you actually get some peace at night.
Sleep Quality That Actually Matters
You know what’s rare in Old Town hotels? Beds that don’t feel like medieval torture devices. Casa Arancia somehow nailed this — guests consistently rave about the comfort level, and after a long day of climbing those ancient city walls, you’ll understand why this matters so much. The rooms manage to blend traditional Dubrovnik stone architecture with modern comfort in a way that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. Each space is thoughtfully designed to maximize relaxation while maintaining the authentic character of the historic district.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast setup here is refreshingly straightforward — continental options with solid vegetarian choices that actually taste good. Nothing fancy, but it’s exactly what you need before heading out to explore. I particularly liked that they seem to source locally when possible, which gives you a better sense of Croatian flavors rather than generic hotel fare. Plus, you can grab your coffee and plan your day without feeling rushed. The dining area captures the essence of a traditional Mediterranean morning.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Casa Arancia apart is how it strikes that perfect balance between authentic Dubrovnik living and modern comfort. The 8.6 guest rating reflects something you feel immediately — this place just works. You’re not fighting the location or making compromises on sleep quality, which honestly makes or breaks a trip to a walking-intensive city like this. The staff seems to understand that most guests are here to experience Dubrovnik, not hide in their hotel, so everything feels designed to enhance your exploration rather than complicate it. Whether you’re seeking cultural immersion or peaceful evenings after busy days, Casa Arancia delivers on both fronts.

The property is very clean and completely.the location is within the old town.
What could be improved: The stairs to go up the property is a bit high not great when it’s raining and carrying heavy bags.
Beautiful clean, large apartment in the old town of Dubrovnik
What could be improved: A lot of steep steps to negotiate to get to the apartment
Excellent location - though steep street steps will not suit everyone! Amazing rooftop views, excellent nearby breakfast venue, helpful host easy to find on arrival and helpful - looked after our bags on departure day
All is new and very good apartment.
What could be improved: If you have mobility issues or heavy luggage, the location will not be good as there are huge stairs to get there and to access the room which is on the mezzanine.
Location was exceptional!
What could be improved: Only change would be to add an iron!

Great location . Staff was wonderful and carried our bags up the 100 stairs to the Buza gate . Cannot say enough about the staff
What could be improved: Did not realize the volume of stairs needed to get to the location but the staff was extremely helpful with the luggage
Great location in the old town but 105 steps to the apartment ! Quiet at night and well equipped. Very clean and our towels got changed after a few days. Breakfast is in a local restaurant (very good) - you get breakfast vouchers from the host.
