Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The moment you step inside, you’re hit with this incredible sense of history – I mean, the walls here have probably seen more drama than a Game of Thrones episode (and yes, they actually filmed some scenes just around the corner). This charming room on Čubranovićeva ulica sits right in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering.
The thing about staying inside these ancient walls is that you’re literally living where locals have lived for centuries. The stone streets outside your window have been polished smooth by millions of footsteps, and early in the morning – before the cruise ship crowds arrive around 9 AM – you can actually hear the city waking up naturally. The room itself has this lovely blend of old-world character and modern comfort that’s surprisingly hard to find in Old Town accommodations. I appreciated the thick stone walls that keep things cool during those brutal summer afternoons when the limestone streets basically turn into a furnace. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you experience the genuine warmth of the hosts and realize how rare it is to find authentic charm without sacrificing comfort.
What really sets this place apart is the insider knowledge you get from staying here. Your hosts actually live in the neighborhood, so they’ll tell you things like which bakery opens first (crucial for beating the morning tourist rush), or that the best sunset spot isn’t the crowded city walls but rather a quiet section near Fort Revelin. The narrow streets can be a bit tricky with luggage – I mean, we’re talking medieval pathways here, not modern sidewalks – but once you’re settled, everything you want to see is within a five-minute walk. The Cathedral, Rector’s Palace, that famous Stradun street where everyone takes photos… it’s all right there. And here’s something most visitors don’t realize: staying inside the walls means you can wander around at night after the day-trippers have all headed back to their resort hotels. The Old Town transforms completely after dark – it becomes intimate and magical instead of crowded and overwhelming. Sure, you might hear some nighttime revelry from the nearby bars, but honestly, it’s part of the authentic experience. This isn’t some sterile hotel chain where everything’s predictable and bland. It’s a real slice of Dubrovnik life, and that 3-star rating is actually refreshing – it means you’re getting genuine local character instead of generic luxury. For travelers who want to feel like they’re actually experiencing Croatia rather than just checking it off a list, this little gem delivers exactly what you’re hoping for.

Loved staying here. Right in the heart of the old town, a clean and comfortable room with a lovely feel and charm. Easily recommend.
What could be improved: Nil. Didn't bother me but if you're a light sleeper, the central location might bother you for noise.Comfortable – Michael from United States – 29 September 2024 (8/10)
It is inside the wall. Near the Pile Gate. You cannot ask for a better lodging than that. Sandra is a marvelous host.

location is near main square. walkable to all points of interest . Andrea, the property host, was really nice and kept communications open. had a little bit of checkin confusion but she was helpful afterwards and made an effort to make changes for future checkin.
What could be improved: room is on second floor. May not be ideal for heavy luggage or people with mobility issues.I loved it and I would definitely come back – Noora from Jordan – 24 October 2022 (10/10)

What could be improved: Since it’s in the old town, it’s very noisy! you can’t do much heregreat place in the centre of the Old City – Aden from Germany – 24 September 2022 (10/10)
located right in old city, nice room and host.
Excellent location in the old town, kindness host – Krisztofer from Hungary – 7 August 2022 (10/10)
Excellent location (only few steps from the main street of the old town). The host is very flexible (we could leave there our luggage after the check out) and kindness.
What could be improved: The air conditioner is noisy, but the room is very comfortable.Exceptional – K from United Kingdom – 6 August 2022 (10/10)
What could be improved: Fantastic hosts, Andrea was wonderful
Perfectly located comfy accommodation in the old town – E from Netherlands – 14 October 2022 (9/10)
The room is literally one minute away from the pile gate and there were no stairs to get to the main entrance door. Only from the entrance door, you need to get to the first floor to reach the room but that was minimum considering the structure of the town 😃
Dragan was very kind and helpful to allow me to check out later and leave my luggage until I needed to head to the airport. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
What could be improved: Nothing, but if I would be picky then I would have liked a mirror in the bedroom, shampoo, conditioner and ear cotton buds in the shower room.
