Excellent location. We were on the middle of everything - whether old churches, some random TV aficionado, or just chilling. The ala carte breakfast beats any buffet breakfast anywhere!
What could be improved: Digital controls on everything. Including shower, lights, etc. they could have provided an instruction card.

First Impressions
Walking through the ancient stone streets of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, you’ll stumble upon Clouds Boutique Guesthouse tucked away on Buniceva poljana — honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect if they tried. This four-star property sits right in the heart of everything, and I mean everything. You’re literally steps away from the main pedestrian thoroughfare, but somehow the narrow side street keeps things surprisingly quiet. The building itself has that authentic Dalmatian stone architecture that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored family home rather than a typical tourist hotel.
The Heart of Old Town
What really struck me about this place is how it manages to be central without feeling touristy — if that makes sense. You can walk to Stradun (the main street) in about two minutes, but you’re also close enough to those hidden corners where locals actually hang out. The morning coffee runs are easy since there’s a great little café just around the corner, and honestly, being able to duck back to your room for a midday break when the crowds get intense is priceless. I noticed couples seem particularly drawn to this spot — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Accommodation & Comfort
The rooms here have character without being fussy about it. You’ll find modern amenities wrapped up in traditional Croatian charm — think stone walls paired with contemporary bathrooms and comfortable bedding. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail; everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just functional. The space feels intimate but not cramped, which is exactly what you want when you’re spending your days exploring the city walls and need a proper retreat. Air conditioning works well too, which you’ll definitely appreciate during those hot summer afternoons when the stone streets turn into ovens.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here actually surprised me — they’ve got options for pretty much everyone. Continental classics, yes, but also vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The American breakfast option is there if you’re craving something more substantial, and they even do breakfast to go, which is brilliant if you want to catch the sunrise from the city walls. I mean, there’s nothing quite like watching Dubrovnik wake up with a proper coffee in hand, and having that flexibility makes all the difference.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Dubrovnik can feel overwhelming with its crowds and tourist traps, but Clouds Boutique Guesthouse gives you that insider feeling — like you belong here rather than just passing through. The location score speaks for itself, but what the numbers don’t capture is how this place lets you experience the city like a temporary resident. You’re close enough to everything important but far enough from the cruise ship chaos to actually relax. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Dubrovnik trip before you’ve even left, because you know you’ve found your home base in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Dubrovnik near Ploce Gate for easy beach walks, artist studios, and jazz-ready courtyards.

What Our Guests Say
Great location. The room was clean and had ample space for two people. We enjoyed the room decor, and the stock pictures were accurate. We did have room service daily which was nice to freshen up the room & linens. Check in was at the Pucic Palace Hotel (a block away, and very convenient. They helped with our bags and showed us to the guesthouse). Overall we were happy with our decision to stay here, but would choose their sister property the Pucic Palace Hotel the next time we travel here.
What could be improved: Guest house vibe is kind of odd. It's an an apartment building with some rooms available and managed by the Pucic Palace Hotel (but it was very nice to have the affiliation for house keeping etc.)
Lights were always off in the lobby which was not ideal with a steep staircase.
The hot water was not great, and did not last very long (5 ish minutes) . Most showers were luke warm at best. This made showering a chore, and not enjoyable (especially with 2 travelers).
Location
What could be improved: Noisy as Jazz club downstairs played until 12am.
Location and the cleanness of the property inside
What could be improved: The stairs to get inside and the cleannes of the building
The loft flat is great and located right in the center of the old town, with great places to eat and drink all around. The breakfast was amazing!
What could be improved: The bar downstairs does stay open late and is pretty loud.
The service was great. They went out of their way to assist us with special requirements. Pay attention to the instructions they send you to find the location. Don’t follow the address from Bookings.com when checking in
What could be improved: All good
Very clean and in the center of old town
What could be improved: We were woken up by the church bells
The view from the apartment which was located in an amazing spot near a piazza was something special!
The place is comfortable and delicately decorated.
Check in and check out process qas great and truly appreciated the service of holding our luggage past check out time so we could enjoy a bit more of the city
What could be improved: Thw entrance was dirty and not well maintained. We would have preferred to have a safe box available in the room.
The location was excellent minute from the “walk of shame” location from Game of Thrones.
What could be improved: We had very hard time finding apartment once we were on the square that was provided in the address from Booking.com. It was hot and we were tired from traveling it was very disappointing to come and not being able to find apartment. Once we called the contact number provided in reservation, receptionist from Pucic Palace came over and told us I was supposed to get email about checking in at the Pucic Palace. She was very nice and she explained to us that apartment is actually on different location.
Another young man took us to the apartment and he carried some of our luggage he was very nice and helpful. The hallway in the building didn’t have light and it was very dirty with empty TV box in the middle of the hallway. Once we got up in the apartment I realize how small it is. Apartment was clean but l realize how steep stairs are up to the loft and celling was very low in the loft. Next time I will pay more attention to the pictures. There is also Jazz Bar beneath apartment that is open up to 2 in the morning. It was very loud that night but we eventually went to sleep because we were tired from all traveling.
Incredible location to all of what old town has to offer. A true Dubrovnik experience.
What could be improved: The activity and crowd does not provide much peace and quiet but it is understandable. One should not expect silence except from 1 am to 5 am.
