Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Comfortable Neda 58m2” in my booking confirmation, I was bracing myself for one of those sterile apartment rentals with IKEA furniture and zero personality. Boy, was I wrong. This place on Ulica Rudimira Rotera is actually a gem, and I mean that in the most un-touristy way possible.
The location is what gets you first – you’re literally a three-minute walk from Banje Beach (the one with the orange umbrellas that everyone posts on Instagram), but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you’re also perfectly positioned to duck into the Old Town through the Ploče Gate without dealing with the cruise ship crowds that pile through Pile Gate. I discovered this completely by accident on my second morning when I was trying to avoid the 9 AM tourist stampede, and honestly, it changed my entire Dubrovnik experience. The apartment itself sits in this quiet residential pocket where actual locals live – you know, the kind of neighborhood where you hear Croatian conversations drifting from balconies and smell real coffee brewing, not just tourist trap espresso.
What really sold me on this place was the space. Fifty-eight square meters might not sound huge, but it’s laid out so thoughtfully that my partner and I never felt cramped, even during a rainy afternoon when we were both working on laptops. The kitchen actually functions (I made pasta twice – shocking, I know), and there’s this little balcony where you can sit with morning coffee and watch the city wake up. The owner clearly gets that travelers need practical stuff too – decent WiFi, proper hangers, a washing machine that doesn’t require an engineering degree to operate. Small details, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.
The only minor thing I’d mention is that you’re on a slight hill, so if you’re planning to stumble home after sampling too much Croatian wine in the Old Town, just… pace yourself. Also, parking can be interesting (translation: bring your parallel parking A-game), but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything worth seeing is walkable, and the bus to the airport stops right down the street.
What impressed me most was how this place manages to feel both central and peaceful. During the day, you’re five minutes from all the Game of Thrones filming locations and overpriced gelato stands, but at night, it’s quiet enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open and hear the sea. That 9.2 rating isn’t just tourist enthusiasm – it’s because places like this are rare. You get the convenience of being right in the action without feeling like you’re sleeping in a theme park. For Dubrovnik, where finding authentic accommodation that doesn’t cost a fortune is basically a competitive sport, Neda’s place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

The apartment was very close to the Old Town so it was very easy to see all we wanted. It had a nice bathroom and kitchen, and a view of the sea from the balcony. The owner and his son were really helpful – picked us up from the airport and helped with places to see.
What could be improved: Rather a lot of steps to the apartment but we got very fit climbing them.!Lovely comfortable property , near the old town with a great view from the balcony. – Ruth from United Kingdom – 13 June 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was excellent. It was like home from home and very clean and tidy. Our host met us with the keys and was very friendly and informative about the surrounding area.
It was so peaceful at night and we slept really well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment.
What could be improved: All I would say. Is that the apartment location wouldn’t be suitable for people with mobility issues , however this is not meant in a negative way.Perfect Accomodation for Dubrovnik Visit. – Leanne from Ireland – 18 August 2023 (10/10)
The air conditioning unit was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was great. The location was perfect at a 5 minute downhill walk to Old Town Pile Gate. Luksa was very welcoming and available for recommendations and questions at all points. There is nowhere more perfect for a stay in Dubrovnik.
What could be improved: No complaints.
