You know what struck me first about this place? The moment you step out onto Boškovićeva Street, you’re actually *in* the Old Town – not just near it, but right in the thick of those ancient limestone walls. I mean, you can literally hear the morning vendors setting up in the nearby squares, and honestly, that’s half the charm of staying here.

The apartment itself is exactly what it promises – cosy without being cramped, with that lived-in feel that makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. The owner clearly knows their stuff because they’ve managed to squeeze in all the essentials without making it feel like a game of Tetris. The kitchen’s small but functional (perfect for morning coffee and those pastries you’ll inevitably buy from the bakery down the street), and the bedroom actually stays pretty cool even during those sweltering July afternoons when the rest of Dubrovnik feels like an oven. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’d think being right in the Old Town would mean constant noise, but these thick stone walls are surprisingly good at muffling the late-night revelers stumbling back from Stradun.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re here: you’re about a three-minute walk from the main drag, but tucked away enough that you won’t have tour groups marching past your window every morning at 8 AM. The nearest city gate is practically around the corner, which is brilliant for those early morning walks along the walls before the crowds hit. Parking’s going to be your biggest headache (let’s be honest, it always is in Dubrovnik), but there’s a decent spot just outside Pile Gate if you’re quick about it, or you can use the Gruž area and walk – it’s not that bad, really. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s one of those places where the small thoughtful touches add up. Fresh towels that actually smell good, a decent shower with proper water pressure, and – this might sound silly – but the WiFi actually works throughout the apartment, which is rarer than you’d think in these old buildings. Sure, it’s not luxury, but it’s got character and warmth that those sterile hotel rooms just can’t match.

  The location was amazing. The apartment was clean and well-prepared. The AC is a blessing. I was happy to have the washing machine as well.
  
  What could be improved: The appliances are a little dated and both bathroom and kitchen need updates. Some items were not provided – no coffee or tea, no coffee maker, no washing powder/liquid. Also, the communication with the host did not go so well.
  The weekend nights are very loud – but tin such location this is understandable.

  This apartment made us feel right at home in the Old City. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The large king size bed was a especially appreciated.
  
  What could be improved: May I suggest that the key box on the front door is too high for a normal sized person to reach and read the numbers. We had trouble opening the key box on arrival and on departure. To help with finding the right apartment once you are inside the complex door it would be VERY helpful to have the number on the door of the apartment. We just had to try the keys to find the correct apartment.

  What could be improved: The good location close to the main street of the Old Town means the apartment was extremely noisy, especially at night. On our last night it was impossible to sleep as the noise did not stop all night.

  The location of the accommodation is very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and my three year old daughter slept soundly. Even though we were told that the plane was delayed, the host was still waiting for us at the door, and enthusiastically offered help. Very comfortable, the room space is very suitable. Air conditioning was great.
  
  What could be improved: The door frame of the furniture is a little damaged, but the landlord will remind you in advance that it will not hinder the use. There are few bath towels. No cutting board.

  Die Gastgeberin war so freundlich uns einen early check in zu ermöglichen, da unser Flug bereits um 08.20 in Dubrovnik gelandet war. Auch war die Gastgeberin so freundlich, uns zwei Kleidungsstücke, die wir in der Wohnung vergessen hatten, postalisch nach zu schicken. Dafür noch einmal herzlichen Dank!
  
  Das Appartement ist super zentral direkt in der Altstadt, 1 Minute zur Flaniermeile. Man hat sich ganz nah dran gefühlt. Teilweise Nachts allerdings etwas lauter, da gegenüber ein Irish Pub ist, was uns aber nicht gestört hat.
  Fazit: Tolles Appartement super zentral und sehr gemütlich.

  Amplio, muy limpio y con todos los utensilios necesarios. La cama es enorme y muy comoda. Esta en una calle estrecha y transitada pero las ventanas son de doble cristal y no se oye absolutamente nada. Muy buen trato y atencion por parte de la casera.
  
  What could be improved: No nos pudieron guardas las maletas en ningún lugar después del check out. Teníamos una excursión y tuvimos que dejarlas en el maloliente Luggage de la entrada de Polce, pagando 15 euros.
