Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked into this little studio on Zrinsko Frankopanska, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s tucked into this narrow street that most tourists probably walk right past. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones hiding in plain sight. The moment I stepped onto that tiny balcony, I got hit with this incredible double view that actually made me do one of those embarrassing tourist gasps. On one side, you’ve got the terracotta rooftops of Old Town spreading out like something from a medieval painting, and on the other – well, there’s the Adriatic just sitting there being impossibly blue.
The studio itself is small but honestly, who cares when you’re spending most of your time exploring Dubrovnik anyway? What I really appreciated was how thoughtfully everything was arranged. The bed faces the windows (smart move), and there’s this little kitchenette that’s actually functional – not like those sad hotel coffee corners. The bathroom’s compact but perfectly adequate, and the shower has good pressure, which… let’s be real, matters more than fancy marble when you’ve been walking the city walls all day. The place stays surprisingly cool even in summer, probably because of how the building’s positioned on the street. You’ll hear some footsteps from the stone streets below, especially in the evening when people are heading to dinner, but it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you awake – more like a gentle reminder that you’re in the heart of a living, breathing city.
What really sold me on this place was the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way everyone says. I mean you can literally walk to Pile Gate in about eight minutes, but you’re far enough from the main tourist crush that you won’t be dodging cruise ship crowds every time you step outside. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Boskoviceva that opens early (perfect for grabbing burek before the day gets hot), and you’re close enough to that cluster of wine bars near the cathedral that you can stumble home after a proper Croatian evening. The host was actually helpful too – gave me specific recommendations for restaurants that weren’t the obvious touristy ones, and check-in was smooth even though I arrived later than planned. Look, it’s not luxury – there’s no concierge or fancy lobby – but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base with a view that reminds you why you traveled all this way in the first place. For what you’re paying, especially considering that 9.6 rating isn’t just marketing fluff, this studio delivers exactly what it promises: a genuine slice of Dubrovnik life with a front-row seat to one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.

Perfect place to stay – Jonna from Finland – 5 July 2025 (10/10)
Absolutely perfect place to stay during the visit to Dubrovnik. The apartment was lovely and comprehensively equipped, perfect for a homelike stay. The host was exceptionally helpful throughout the visit.
Stunning studio ♥️ – Natascia from Germany – 21 June 2025 (10/10)
A beautiful studio, “like home” feeling ( not a place that is standardized…. Every room the same!), with Aldo everything you need if you want to get organized and have breakfast or a meal in the apartment. The view is the best ( you see the city walls and you can take beautiful pictures), very clean and also possible do a laundry … again, nothing is missing! Very quite, but literally attached to the heart of the city
What could be improved: You can reach it if you are in good shape. We liked it but I can see that an older person could have some issues to climb quite a few step to reach the apartment building and then, also the internal staircase inside to reach the attics… but Hei! You can’t have everything!!Exceptional – Kendall from Spain – 20 June 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is in great location and has a wonderful view of the old town. Very quiet at night.
Exceptional – Maximilian from Germany – 16 June 2025 (10/10)
Perfect location and apartment!
What could be improved: There are some stairs in the house and before reaching the house for that you should be preparedSuperb – Sandra from New Zealand – 3 May 2025 (10/10)
I had a wonderful, comfortable stay here. The location was great and it was very quiet. The staff were exceptional. Their communication was absolutely incredible. I felt very valued and totally supported in everything I needed to know at any time. Thank you so much for helping me to have the best experience in your amazingly beautiful city.
What could be improved: Just an awareness, there was a lot of stairs to negotiate.Very good – Kohut from Australia – 24 May 2025 (8/10)
Great location and facilities especially for travellers staying longer than we did.
Exceptional – Vincenza from France – 28 June 2025 (10/10)
L’emplacement et les petites attentions du propriétaire.
Superb – Antonio from Spain – 27 June 2025 (9/10)
la ubicación, las vistas al levantarte
What could be improved: Somos ya un poco mayores y el piso esta alto sin ascensor, pero si eres joven ni te lo pienses親切なオーナーと素敵な立地と眺め – Kyota from Japan – 27 June 2025 (9/10)
What could be improved: ・スーツケースを持って階段を上り下りするのが大変だった
・バスルームの屋根が斜めになっていて、シャワーを浴びる時に頭をぶつけそうになるConsigliatissimo, ideale per visitare la città ed anche per andare al mare. – Errico from Italy – 18 June 2025 (9/10)
