The building sits quietly on Janjinska ulica, and you know what struck me immediately? There’s actual parking right on site, which anyone who’s driven around Dubrovnik will tell you is basically like finding gold. The entrance feels more like stepping into a friend’s upscale home than a typical hotel, which sets the tone for everything that follows.
Lapad is honestly one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists sometimes overlook — and that’s exactly what makes it special. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from the Old Town’s crowds, but here’s the thing: you get to experience Dubrovnik like people actually live here. There’s a lovely promenade along the water where I’d walk in the evenings, and the whole area feels residential in the best possible way. The fact that couples rate this place so highly makes perfect sense — it’s got that romantic, tucked-away feeling without being inconvenient.
My room was actually more like a proper apartment, which explains the name I suppose. The space felt genuinely lived-in rather than sterile — comfortable furniture, a proper kitchen setup that I actually used, and windows that let in tons of natural light. I mean, when you’re staying somewhere with a 9.8 rating, you expect things to be good, but the attention to small details really stood out. Everything worked perfectly, from the air conditioning to the WiFi, and the whole place just felt… well, homey.
What I loved about staying here was how easy everything felt. Need groceries? There’s a market just down the street. Want coffee in the morning? The local café owners actually remember your order after a couple days. The spa facilities aren’t elaborate, but they’re perfectly adequate for unwinding after long days exploring the city walls or hiking around Lokrum Island. And honestly, having that private parking meant I could take day trips along the coast without worrying about finding a spot when I got back — which in Dubrovnik is no small thing.
This place works because it strikes that perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. You’re not staying in some massive resort complex, but you’re also not roughing it in a basic guesthouse. The staff treats you like a neighbor rather than just another booking, and the location gives you the best of both worlds — peaceful evenings at home base, easy access to everything Dubrovnik has to offer. For couples especially, there’s something really appealing about having your own little corner of this beautiful city, complete with a proper restaurant scene within walking distance and enough space to actually relax together.

What could be improved: Pas d'eau chaude dans la cuisine et manque d'équipement cuisine (2 petites cuillers pour 4 personnes)
Igényes, kényelmes prakitkusan berendezett lakás. Tiszta, rendben tartott, mintha első vendégek lettünk volna. Lift, mélygarázs és a saját kertrész extra kényelmet biztosít.

What could be improved: Beetje de afstand van het centrum maar met de uber snel te bereiken
L’appartement est situé près de la plage et des restos! L’accès à la vieille ville se fait facilement en autobus. (10 minutes environ). La terrasse spacieuse et très agréable! Nous recommandons cet appartement sans hésitation.
What could be improved: Le seul petit bémol, c’est l’église le matin! Les cloches sonnent très tôt le matin.
The apartment was amazing. Spacious, clean and everything you could possibly need. The free private parking was also very convenient and safe. And the balcony was amazing too.

Casa perfetta, tutto il necessario per un'ottima vacanza. Casa in ottime condizioni, molto pulita e in un'ottima posizione. Host gentilissima e sempre disponibile in ogni occasione. Ha superato pienamente le nostre aspettative. Consigliatissima.

What could be improved: Very clean and well thought after property. You get almost all top class hotel room facilities coupled with your own fully equipped private kitchen and a terrace garden . It is really amazing. Barbara is a fantastic host , always there to help and answer any questions

Excellent location to local bus network and shops as well as restaurants in the Lapad district. Clean apartment and garden terrace a lovely spot to relax in after a day exploring. Kitchen well equipped and bathroom spacious and clean. Helpful and attentive host (Barbara). Superb underground parking which kept the car cool and secure.
What could be improved: No major issues - an iron and ironing board would have been handy but not a deal breaker. Guidance on waste/recycling for guests (perhaps an apartment manual) would be a good addition for future.
