You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I stepped out onto Lazarina ulica, I realized I was in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to Old Town to walk everywhere, but far enough from the cruise ship chaos to actually breathe. The Dubrovnik 4 Star Apartment sits right in Ploče – honestly, it’s one of those neighborhoods that feels like a secret until you’re there.

The apartment itself has this lived-in elegance that actually works. I mean, it’s not trying to be some sterile hotel room, but it’s clearly been set up by someone who gets what travelers need. The kitchen actually has proper knives (you’d be surprised how rare that is), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re camping. What really sold me was stepping out onto that little balcony in the evening – you catch these glimpses of the Adriatic between the buildings, and honestly, the whole scene just clicks. The rating of 9.5 makes sense once you’re here; it’s not flashy, but everything works the way it should.

Here’s the thing about staying in Ploče that the guidebooks don’t really capture – you’re walking distance from Banje Beach (maybe 8 minutes if you’re not rushing), and you can slip into the Old Town through the Ploče Gate without dealing with the main tourist entrance. I’d grab coffee at that little café on Frana Supila in the morning, then wander down toward the city walls when I felt like it. The neighborhood has this residential rhythm that I actually started following – quieter in the late afternoon, livelier around dinner time when locals are heading home. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in Dubrovnik will tell you is basically a minor miracle. The whole setup just felt… well, like staying somewhere real instead of tourist central, if that makes sense.

  The property was just as described. Everything was spotless, the bed comfortable, the view amazing and excellent communication with Maya. Excellent, clear instructions and photos are sent before you arrive which helps to find the property easily. Close to the beach, grocery shops and the old town.As other reviews have pointed out, there are steps leading up to it, but there are steps and hills everywhere in Dubrovnik so this is not unusual.

  It was a lovely apartment, we had a wonderful stay. The directions from the host to get to the apartment were spot on. The view was amazing. Also we were allowed a late check out which was very helpful for our next destination.

  The location was amazing, 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the old town. There’s a shop within a two minute walk.
  
  The view was outstanding, the terrace perfect for early morning coffee or wine in the evenings.
  
  The apartment had everything you could possibly need, the beach towels and coffee a welcome bonus!
  
  Maya was on hand at any point to answer any questions or queries.

  You will climb a lot of stairs in Dubrovnik 🙈 We made the most of the stairs leading up to the apartment, which provided justification for an extra glass (or two) of wine 😂

  I highly recommend this beautiful apartment, it is very vell equipped and clean, with new furniture, and tasteful design. The terrace is very spacious, and the views to the old city and the sea are stunning.
  For us, breakfasts on the terrace were a highlight of our stay in Dubrovnik!
  The apartment is located close to small grocery stores and restaurants and is also close to the old center (10 min walking distance) and the beach (5 min). Parking is available next to the building. We didn't need to use the car at all during our stay.

  Everything!!! This apartment was amazing and feels like home! Stunning setting and location. Breakfast on a beautiful spacious terrace with an unforgettable view of the old town, the sea and the island of Lokrum is everything. Dubrovnik in the palm of your hand. I enjoyed spending time here. Host was superb and very responsive. All recommendations, wonderful stay.
