You know what really struck me about Dubrovnik Central Stay? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Lapad – Hrvatskog Crvenog Kriza, which honestly sounds way more intimidating than it actually is – but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. I mean, the Old Town gets all the Instagram love, but staying in Lapad? That’s where you get to feel like you’re actually living in Dubrovnik instead of just visiting it.

The apartment itself (it’s more like a proper apartment than a hotel room) has this really thoughtful setup that makes you think someone who actually travels designed it. The kitchen isn’t just for show – I actually used it, which is rare for me when I’m traveling. There’s this lovely little balcony where I’d sit with my morning coffee, watching the locals head to work while tourists were still figuring out their day. The whole place feels fresh and modern but not in that sterile way some new places have. And honestly, with a 9.9 rating, I was expecting to find some obvious flaw that other people missed, but… I really couldn’t. The air conditioning actually works properly (crucial in summer), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the shower has decent water pressure – you’d be surprised how often hotels mess up these basics.

What I loved most was how easy it made everything without feeling touristy. There’s this great little market just a few minutes’ walk away where you can grab fresh fruit and local cheese, and the Lapad beach is close enough that you can actually hear the waves on quiet nights. The bus to the Old Town runs regularly and takes maybe fifteen minutes, but here’s the thing – after spending all day dodging cruise ship crowds in the old city, coming back to this peaceful neighborhood felt like such a relief. You can walk to some really solid local restaurants too, the kind where you’re the only foreigner and the menu isn’t in six languages. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the center, which matters if you’re planning any day trips along the coast. The hosts were incredibly responsive too – not hovering, but genuinely helpful when I had questions about getting around. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay, which is honestly the best compliment I can give any accommodation.

  Świetne miejsce! Niezwykle urokliwe, pięknie urządzone, zadbano o każdy detal tego miejsca. Nowy blok z podziemnym parkingiem, w okolicy port, deptak, sklepy. Wszystko czego tylko dusza zapragnie. Polecam, na prawdę bardzo polecam! Spacerkiem do miasta idzie się bardzo przyjemnie:)
