Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from this little place on Ferićeva ulica, but honestly, it completely won me over. The thing about staying right in Old Town is that you’re literally living inside a UNESCO World Heritage site – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you step out the door in the morning, you’re on these ancient limestone streets that have this incredible patina from centuries of footsteps, and the whole place just feels alive with history.
The apartment itself is exactly what it says on the tin: cute and little. It’s tucked into one of those traditional stone buildings that somehow manages to stay cool even when it’s blazing hot outside (which, let’s be honest, is most of the summer in Dubrovnik). The owners have done a really nice job keeping the original character – exposed stone walls, wooden beams, that sort of thing – without making it feel like you’re camping in a medieval dungeon. Actually, the windows face this narrow side street, so you get all the atmosphere without the main tourist thoroughfare noise. Trust me, that matters when you’re trying to sleep and there are still people wandering around at midnight looking for Game of Thrones filming locations.
What I really loved is how you can walk to basically everything worth seeing in about three minutes. The Rector’s Palace is practically around the corner, and you’re maybe a two-minute stroll from the main drag (Stradun, if you want to sound like you know what you’re talking about). But here’s the thing locals don’t always tell you – staying this central means you’ll hear church bells. A lot of church bells. They’re beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but if you’re sensitive to sound, just be aware. The morning bells from the Cathedral are particularly… enthusiastic. On the flip side, you can duck into Dubrovnik’s best konobas (that’s local speak for traditional restaurants) without any planning, and there’s this amazing little bakery on the next street over that opens ridiculously early and makes these pastries that’ll ruin your diet plans.
The 8.4 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s got character and the location is absolutely unbeatable. I mean, where else can you have your morning coffee while looking out at medieval architecture and then walk to the city walls in your pajamas if you really wanted to? The check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually worked (not always a given in these old buildings), and everything was clean and functional. Just remember that “little” really means little – don’t bring your entire wardrobe. But honestly, you’ll spend so much time exploring the city and soaking up the Adriatic atmosphere that you’ll barely be inside anyway.

Affordable apartment at excellent location – Charisma from United Kingdom – 5 November 2023 (9/10)
The location was great and the property was very tastefully decorated. The hosts allowed us to borrow umbrellas which was a big help.
What could be improved: The property was clean in general. But there was some hair on the bath tray – hence the slight lower rating.Superb – Alison from United Kingdom – 31 October 2023 (9/10)
Amazing location! Inside the city walls but on a quiet little street.
Lovely apartment, clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Especially nice to have a separate sitting area and proper tea/coffee mugs.
Individual fleece blankets are a nice touch.
Highly recommended.
What could be improved: Minor points only: Living room curtains could do with being a bit thicker. Curtain rail in bedroom was coming loose at one end.visiting Dubrovnik on my own – Marie-caroline from France – 18 May 2023 (9/10)
