What really sold me on this place is its position in the real Dubrovnik, if that makes sense. You’re close enough to walk to Stradun in ten minutes, but far enough away that you can actually breathe and think without being swept up in the tourist current. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – you’ll hear kids playing in the courtyard next door, smell someone’s dinner cooking, maybe catch an old-timer watering his plants on a tiny balcony. It’s Croatia, not a theme park version of it. The 7.4 rating seems about right – it’s solid and dependable without being fancy, which is exactly what you want when you’re using the room as a base for exploring rather than a destination in itself.
