Located in a prime area of Dubrovnik, our hotel offers convenient access to the city’s most coveted attractions. The famous Walls of Dubrovnik, a magnificent medieval defensive structure that encircles the Old Town, is just a short stroll away, providing guests with easy access to breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the terracotta-roofed cityscape. The hotel’s address on Bernarda Shawa Street pays homage to the renowned Irish playwright Bernard Shaw, who once described Dubrovnik as “paradise on Earth.” Indeed, from our doorstep, you can easily explore the limestone-paved streets of the Old Town, visit the historic Rector’s Palace, or take a leisurely walk to Banje Beach, where crystal-clear azure waters meet pristine pebbled shores. The picturesque Dubrovnik Harbor is also within reach, offering opportunities for island excursions to the nearby Elaphiti Islands or Lokrum Reserve with its botanical gardens and peacocks.

Dubrovnik Legacy embodies the spirit of Croatian hospitality, where every detail is meticulously curated to ensure a memorable stay. Our elegant rooms and suites feature sophisticated décor that harmoniously combines modern comforts with subtle nods to Dubrovnik’s rich cultural heritage. Each accommodation offers serene views, whether of the ancient city, the sparkling Adriatic, or our thoughtfully landscaped gardens. The hotel’s culinary offerings celebrate the finest Dalmatian cuisine, with our restaurant serving freshly caught seafood, locally sourced ingredients, and an extensive selection of Croatian wines. Guests particularly appreciate our rooftop terrace, where they can savor breakfast while watching the sun rise over the Old Town or enjoy evening cocktails as the setting sun casts a golden glow over the city’s historic architecture. Our wellness facilities provide a sanctuary for relaxation after a day of exploration, featuring treatments inspired by Mediterranean traditions. The exceptional 9.9 rating awarded by our guests speaks volumes about the personalized service provided by our dedicated staff, who are always ready to share insider tips about hidden gems in Dubrovnik or arrange exclusive experiences such as private boat tours along the stunning coastline. At Dubrovnik Legacy, we don’t just offer accommodation – we invite you to become part of Dubrovnik’s continuing legacy, creating memories that will last a lifetime in one of Europe’s most captivating destinations.

Reviews

  • Sean from United Kingdom – 16 April 2025 (9/10)

Great location, 10 minute walk into old town, view of the sea.
Very generous hosts – kitchen was fully equipped with essentials for breakfast and cooking. They were very responsive to text messages too.
Spotlessly clean, lots of towels, comfortable beds.
Only very minor negative was that the living room chairs needs updating.
    Would definitely stay there again.

  • Wallinger from Germany – 5 April 2025 (10/10)

We had an amazing experience staying here. The location is perfect for access to Old Town and has a bus stop nearby. The owner was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, providing toys for our children, a Pack N’ Play for my youngest to sleep in, and groceries in the kitchen when we arrived (milk, honey, cereal, coffee, juice). The house is very nice and has a garden with orange and lemon trees, as well as a balcony overlooking the city. We plan to stay here again the next time we visit Dubrovnik.

  • Elaine from United States – 6 November 2024 (10/10)

While breakfast was not officially included the host kindly left coffee/tea, two types of fresh bread, butter, cereal, milk, sugar etc for us to make our own and enjoy outside in the garden. This home by the way is a historical gem. It was built in the 17th century and has been updated with all modern fixtures and amenities while maintaining its true charm and character. The location was exceptional literally overlooking the Great Wall of Old Dubrovnik. The grounds were spectacular with ancient vessels, wall sculptures and museum quality antiquities scattered about. The sitting areas had stunning views. Truly a very special home. Unfortunately, did not have time to explore the beaches, however, they looked absolutely amazing the water was crystal clear and glimmered with countless shades of aqua blue. So very inviting!

What could be improved: Absolutely nothing. The host went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Could not have been kinder and more helpful.

  • Helen from Poland – 25 October 2024 (10/10)

Beautiful house with amazing atmosphere in a great location right by Pile Gate! We particularly enjoyed the gorgeous garden – it was the perfect sanctuary to have meals or relax after a day of sightseeing. Our host, Hrvoje made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. There were breakfast items waiting upon arrival plus they kindly allowed us to check out later. Absolutely recommend!

  • Cynthia from United States – 9 October 2024 (10/10)

The location of this apartment is excellent. It is in an old palace which has been remodeled and everything is up to date. The grounds surrounding the house are beautiful and it has a rooftop area where you can sit and see the old town and the sea. It really exceeded my expectations. It even had a washing machine and dryer. It is a gem.

  • Peggy from United States – 22 September 2024 (10/10)

Great location. The host was so thoughtful to have morning essentials there for us. Milk, coffee, tea, butter, bread, orange juice and more.

  • Alistair from United Kingdom – 2 September 2024 (10/10)

Wonderful character property with a stunning view from the elevated seating area. Exceptionally clean & really comfortable, and sufficient space for our group of six adults. The owners kindly made the accommodation available for an early check in and provided beach towels. There was also breakfast items, bread and milk for us on arrival. There is a great bakery 5-10 minutes walk away open from 0600, next to a mini mart.
The accommodation is located almost next to the old city walls which is ideal for exploring. There are plenty of steps to keep you fit!

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Fabiano from Ireland – 28 August 2024 (10/10)

We have no words to describe the comfort, the house was beautiful and impeccable, the host left us some groceries such as bread, snacks, milk, coffee among other things for us to enjoy during our stay. Before the trip and during our stay he was always in contact to see if we were okay or if we needed anything. As we arrived in the morning he had already given us the key before the recommended time and to our happiness, we asked for an extra bed and he provided it at no additional cost. Amazing, I really recommend this house.

What could be improved: Have to leave

  • Ray from United States – 11 August 2024 (10/10)

Large modern home with beautiful courtyard within walking distance of the old city. Great views of the city and wonderful host! Really enjoyed our stay in Dubrovnik! Highly recommend!

What could be improved: Liked everything

  • Ivan from Australia – 9 August 2024 (9/10)

The location is excellent immediately outside of the old city. It is an actual house rather than an apartment with great facilities and Hrvoje had a stocked fridge, coffee, and some biscuits for the kids. Much appreciated

What could be improved: Dubrovnik isn't a city for cars so make sure you plan out dropping off your luggage and finding a carpark close by
