Dubrovnik Old House
You know what struck me first about Dubrovnik Old House?
You know what struck me first about Dubrovnik Old House? It’s actually tucked away on Palmotićeva, which means you’re literally living inside the medieval walls without dealing with the absolute chaos of Stradun during cruise ship season. I mean, you’re maybe a two-minute walk from all the main action, but when you duck into this little street, it feels like you’ve found some secret corner that most tourists miss entirely.
The place itself is honestly what you’d hope for in a 3-star spot that’s pulling a 9.2 rating – it’s not trying to be some fancy resort, but everything just works really well. The building has that weathered stone thing going on that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s centuries-old family home, which… you sort of are? The rooms aren’t huge (this is Old Town Dubrovnik, after all), but they’re thoughtfully laid out with these thick stone walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal summer afternoons. And here’s something I really appreciated – the windows are proper double-glazed, so you’re not lying awake listening to every single person walking home from the bars at 2 AM.
What really makes this place special is the staff genuinely knows their stuff about the city. Not just the obvious tourist things, but like – they’ll tell you exactly when to hit the city walls (early morning, trust me), or point you toward that little bakery on Prijeko where locals actually go for burek. The guy at reception mentioned that most guests end up extending their stay, and honestly, I get it. There’s something about waking up inside those walls, hearing the church bells instead of car horns, that makes you want to slow down and actually experience the place instead of just photographing it. Plus, practical stuff – they’ll sort out your luggage if you’re dealing with those impossible Old Town stairs, and they actually have decent WiFi, which isn’t always a given in these old stone buildings. The whole experience feels less like a hotel stay and more like crashing at a friend’s place who happens to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

What Our Guests Say
Exceptional Big house in the old town with a nice patio - everything within the walking distance. Super easy check-in and check-out. I could even check-in early in the morning as I had a morning flight.
Exceptional A wonderful place to spend a city break in Dubrovnik – located right in the heart of the old town, just a short distance from the main street of the historic center. The house is incredibly comfortable, and we had no trouble accommodating our group of 10 people, with extra beds still available. The host is extremely helpful and accommodating; we were allowed to check in earlier and check out later than originally planned, which gave us the opportunity to enjoy even more time exploring the city.

Exceptional Great value for money, beautiful terrace, very helpful staff
Excellent location in the centre of the old town. Close to restaurant's and bars. Did not have breakfast
What could be improved: Only a very small issue, the key pad was difficult to use sometimes.
ivica patient with our group re payment - not a problem . would however have preferred to pay when booking .Great locati lovely outdoor area
no sunbeds as shown in pic
but plenty of seating
with shade / covered area
really comfortable beds
very clean and tidy
good location within the wall of Dubrovnik(except for steps😞)
What could be improved: upstairs was less modern and only one air conditioned unit . bedrooms upstairs had fans
double bedroom far to cramped , had to climb over bottom of bed to get in
would benefit of reshuffle of furniture
air con in each room
upstairs shower bangs on ceiling therefore limiting opening
ok for slim people!
The private courtyard was the perfect retreat from busy Dubrovnik. The courtyard
